chapter 2

(Still Phil's pov)

After a 5 minute walk and little conversation. We finally arrive at the coffee shop 'City Perks' we order our coffees and find a seat to sit at.

"So how have you been" I ask with a smile. Dan begins to think of an answer, "I- um , I've been good." Dan replies with a half smile. "How have you been" Dan asks with a smile. "I've been good. Although I got fired a few weeks ago but I got a new job" I explain.

We've had a good conversation despite the fact Dan seemed a little uneasy with some questions that seemed to have triggered him.

"Okay well I'll see you in a few days at work, goodbye Phil" , Dan says as he heads home. And I stayed for a few minutes on my phone.

Just when I'm about to leave, I realize Dan left his Diary on the table. I grab it. I have to return it to him. How would I though.

I make my way to the bus stop to catch the bus home.

A few minutes go by as I'm bored waiting for the bus. Should I read Dan's diary to pass the little time? No Phil , respect Dan's privacy what's wrong with you.

I finally get home and then I remember something. Not only am I clumsy, I'm also forgetful sometimes. Dan gave me his number at the coffee shop.

I begin to text Dan.

To Dan: Hey Dan , you left your diary . I have it. How do you want me to return it?

From Dan: oh my god, um. I can come pick it up at your house. Where do you live?

I text him my address. And within 20 minutes he arrived. I go downstairs of my flat And answer the door.

"Hey Dan, here's your diary. I didn't read it." I tell him, but he looks a bit worried that I might have. "Oh okay good.. I know it's lame for me to have a diary but it helps with my problems haha " Dan explains awkwardly.

"Well I better head home now.." Dan states shyly. "You can visit if you'd like" I offer. "Oh no it's fine. I really got to go home . I have plans.. um, with my friend." Dan declines my 'offer' , although the last part seems like a lie.

"Okay, well have a good night Dan. I'll see you at work in two days." I say with a smile as he gets back in the taxi and leaves. And I head back upstairs.

I then begin to watch episodes of Avatar. But I'm caught up in my thoughts.

Dan is a really attractive. There's something about him that really intrigues me. He's nice and tall and his figure is appealing. Not only that but he has the same interests as me.

Do I like Dan? No , I can't. I'm not gay, or am I? I'm not sure but I think I like Dan. 

I shouldn't be silly. He probably doesn't like guys. He would never like me back. Deep deep down I hope he does though.

His chocolate brown eyes. They're so nice to look into. Although I haven't really seen one of his real smiles, his smile is cute. I'm sure his real smile is extravagant though.

I can't wait to see him again though.
