More Than Best Friends?...(Jeonghan X S.coups)

S.coups huffed and glanced at the clock '5:45' it read. He grabbed his phone to see if there were any new messages, '4 new messages' He tapped on it

'Cheollie, where are you?'
-Hannie (1:30pm)

'You didnt reply to my messages'
-Hannie (1:33pm)

'Where are you? Im getting worried..'
-Hannie (1:37pm)

'I need you here right now..its so lonely here'
-Hannie (1:45pm)

S.coups bit his lower lip, feeling guilty that he completely forgot about Jeonghan. 'Should i tell him?' He asked himself as he took one more glance at the clock 'should i reply to him? He might be mad at me for not replying earlier'  he started asking himself questions. "I cant go to the hospital right now...Nayeon might be waiting for me"

'Hannie...im so sorry that i didnt reply to yoyr messages. I got carried away all of a sudden. I cant go there today cuz im gonna hang out with a friend. I hope you understand.'
-Seungcheol.

His heart beat was racing and he nervously started to chew on his bottom lip, causing a tiny drop of blood to come out. But he didnt care. He felt guilty as shit for carelessly ignoring his best friend..his first crush. He had mixed emotions...he felt happy because he finally was going out on a date, he felt sad because he wont get a chance to see his Jeonghan, he felt angry at himself for ignoring his best friend. "Im pretty sure he's mad at me.." S.coups mumbled and sighed.

S.coups was brought out of his thoughts when his phone rang. 'Unknown contact' it said. He stared at his phone screen for a moment before tapping on the 'answer' button. He brought the phone up to his hear "hello?" He said "doctor Seungcheol!" He heard Nayeon's gleeful voice on the other line "ah...Nayeon." He smiled "you ready for the..'date'?" He asked and he heard Nayeon giggle "of course i am. So, the coffee shop, right?" She said "yup...see you then" he said and chuckled before hanging up.

He looked at the clock '6:03' it read. "I better get going. Its rude to make a lady wait.." He mumbled and lazily got up off the couch.

*time skip*

S.coups was sitting down on one of the benches outside of the coffee shop. He looked around "not much people outside today..." He muttered and ran his hand through his hair. He waited for a little longer "Seungcheol!" He heard a high pitched voice call out. He looked at the direction where the voice came from "Oh, Nayeon." A smile crept up on his lips. Nayeon ran towards him and giggled. "Hello.." She said, timidly, as a blush spread across her cheeks. "Its nice to see you.." She added and smiled, tucking a few strands of her hair behind her ear. "You too. You look wonderful" S.coups said "o-oh thanks. So do you.." She said and blushed even more, causing S.coups to chuckle.

"So, shall we go in?" S.coups asked "oh..yes.." She replied and giggled. S.coups opened the door and stepped aside "ladies first~" he said with a playful smirk "why thank you, kind sir" Nayeon said and giggled once again, entering the coffee shop, S.coups following behind.

*time skip..cuz y'all are probably mad at me😅*

S.coups and Nayeon were sitting opposite sides from eachother, talking and laughing. "So like, she started to get mad at me for no apparent reason and im just there like 'umm..ok?'" Nayeon continued her story, making them both laugh. "How about you? How's life?" Nayeon asked and took a sip of her coffee. S.coups then stared at the coffee table "oh um..its alright, I guess.." He replied and started drawing shapes on the table with the tip of his finger. "Nothing new going on?" She asked "not that i know of..." He answered with a  shrug. They both sat there in silence when S.coups finally decided to ask Nayeon a question.

"Hey Nayeon.." He called out "yes?" She asked "how would you react if you truly love someone youve known for a very long time, that they're in a relatiomship with somebody else?..." He asked "oh..ill just try to ignore what hurts inside cuz if i make a wrong move, it might ruin my friendship with that person." She replied. S.coups stared at the table, not knowing what to say. "You okay?" She suddenly asked, S.coups looked up at her "huh? Oh um..yeah." He replied and chuckled.

'Maybe Nayeon's answer might be right...i just have to ignore what hurts me inside..'
