the vision of white closes in upon the naked eye. the four white walls have caved in. he stood on the spot, turning around in every direction. spinning around. looking like the prey of a predator. his throat swelled up with overwhelming pain, his eyes a burning red, as his eyes blinked at the blinding light ;

but there was no light. the white's of the room were too bright.

his head rested on the floor. the white cushion. the whole room was made out of cushion. he struggled against his own will. wanting to feel the peeling red skin of his face. to feel the scars that ran below the patch around his eye. his skin was torn up.

but no limb of his could be moved. only his eyes as they roamed around the same white walls. he could blink, he could sleep. but that was all he was capable of. he could move his arms out of the straitjacket. he was trapped.

he was trapped for a reason,

he was insane.

in the far distance, miles away. a girl he still claimed his lover sat up in bed from a startling nightmare. her chest heaved up and down, as her throat scratched. her heart was swelled up. seeing the images before her, it terrified her. it terrified her to the point of insanity.

her lover sat up beside her. he rubbed his soft hands up and down her arms. whispering soothing things into her ears. he was used to this ;

he was used to waking up in the middle of the night,

comforting her.

he never knew why, he was never going to know why. her eyes were snapped open with concentration as she stared out into the distance.

every night she had the same dream. the dream of her lover being insane.

and, it wasn't him who was insane. for it was her. the thought of insanity was eating her alive and she had taken it on her lover. and she was bound for her lover, ethan to never know.
