You were walking in the local park around your area. Since it being Autumn, there were leaves everywhere; brown, green, red. You'd been having a rough time with your boyfriend, Luke, so you decided on stepping out for a bit.

You walked towards a bench and took a seat, not realising that someone's backpack was there. You plugged in your music and took deep breaths.

"excuse me? hello? Excuse me?"

you had heard a faint voice but not noticing the person behind you. You turned around and took out your earphones.

"hey, sorry, my music was up pretty loud." you apologised.

"no, no it's okay. I just came over to get my things and noticed you were crying. Are you okay?" the guy asked, sitting down next to you.

You hadn't even realised that tears were rolling down your cheeks. It was so cold outside that your cheeks were numb.

"oh, I um, I didn't even realise myself." You laughed slightly.

"I'm y/n." You shook his hand.

"Grayson. And that's my twin brother over there, his name's Ethan." He pointed towards a very similar looking guy only with darker hair along with a purple streak in it. He was sat down on a pile of leaves, scrolling through his phone.

"It's nice to meet you." You smiled.

He smiled back.

"so what's up?" he asked, looking at your face showing sympathy.

"Oh, I wouldn't want to keep you from your brother." You tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.

You had trust issues. People had constantly wanted to know what was happening with you and your personal life. You would let them in but let them mess you up. That's what Luke was doing. He was just using you.

"I have time. Ethan won't mind." He reassured you.

You liked Grayson. He seemed very down to earth. And to actually have a complete random stranger be asking if you're okay meant a lot to you.

"I've just been having a couple issues with my boyfriend. His name is Luke."

Grayson nodded.

"I've been with him for around two years now. It's been constant fighting. The thing is, I know he doesn't even love me."

By now you felt tears forming in your eyes again. This time feeling them trickle down your cheeks.

"one time, he actually put his hands on me. He hit me across my face. I think that's why I stay. I'm scared." You looked down at your hands, fiddling with your purse.

Grayson placed his hands on top of yours.

"I know I've just met you but i feel for you. I'm so sorry. This guy sounds like an idiot. To not be loving someone as brave and beautiful as you are is stupid."

"thank you." You sniffle.

he wraps his arms around you, cradling your cold body. You sit there for a few minutes as you cry some more into his chest.

You give Grayson your number but as you were about to get his, a familiar voice shouted from down the street.

"Y/n! Baby! I've been looking for you everywhere!" Luke came running to you, pulling you into a harsh embrace.
