It was late in the night when the last of the films finished and by then Zia was lying with her head in Miles' lap and feet in Alex's. Miles ran his fingers through her hair and they kept getting caught in her curls. Every once in a while he'd tug too hard and Zia would glare at him. He'd just kiss her then. After a point of time she wondered if all the tugging was as innocent as she'd thought. Her theory was confirmed when he'd grinned roguishly at her suspicious look the next time.

None of them had eaten any dinner and didn't care to either. They'd pigged on too much popcorn and chips during the movie marathon. Zia hadn't thought you could order popcorn from room service but apparently Miles and Alex could. She'd just rolled with it. And there'd been multiple cigarettes that had been lit and now the ash tray was just over flowing with ash and cigarette butts.

Sometime during the last movie it had also started raining. They had pulled open the curtains from the large French styled windows leading to the balcony and just sat watching the rain fall making a faint pitter patter sound. It had also grown quite chilly and Zia's feet were turning into blocks of ice. Her feet were usually cool, but in cold weather they almost always turned icy cold. Alex had gotten up to fetch her a light blanket when he'd seen her shiver, and had pulled her feet into his lap, rubbing and massaging them. Zia didn't know what to think of the extremely sweet gesture. She just sighed in contentment closing her eyes. The only sound in the room was their breathing and the rain.

Zia broke the silence suddenly. "Will you sing?" she asked softly, longingly.

Alex squeezed her foot, stroking it lightly with his thumb, before breaking into 'I Wanna be Yours' and was joined by Miles. As they ended a soft smile crept upon Zia's face.

"From John's poem..." she said in a fond tone.

"Yeah."

"It's beautiful." They sang with so much soul. She felt full of soul.

They all fell into silence again.

And then Zia went "We should go for a walk."

"It's rainin', love," came Miles' response.

"Which is why we should go!"

"We'll go for a drive," Alex compromised. He lifted her legs, getting himself off the sofa. "C'mon." Zia held up both her arms and Alex grabbed hold and pulled her up.

"And get hot chocolate?"

Miles couldn't help chuckling at her hopeful tone. "And get hot chocolate!" He swatted at her bum.

Zia stuck her tongue out at him before hurrying in to put on a pair of shorts since she'd just been lounging in an oversized t-shirt and then they were off.

They just drove around aimlessly, not really caring about where they went. The roads were near deserted, with few folks wanting to be out late in the rain. It wasn't hard, but came down steadily and Alex drove through it expertly. They left the city behind, now driving towards country roads. As the open fields started rolling Zia asked Alex to stop the car and before either Miles or Alex could try to change her mind she shot out of the car running out in the field in the rain.

"Zia!" Miles called after her. Miles gave Alex a long suffering look before stepping out too but Alex knew he wasn't really annoyed. Alex killed the engine and got out too. Zia was standing now face up towards the skies enjoying the rain showering over and around her.

"Zia, you little imp!" Miles said folding his arms around her.

Zia only giggled. "You're a nutter, darlin'." Alex affirmed before kissing her fondly. Zia kissed him back before pulling away.
