After the twenty minute drive to the hospital, we arrived in the parking lot. Harry parked, and ran out to open my door. Pajama pants soaked in water, I got out of the car slowly. Harry held tightly to my arm, leading me into the hospital and kicking the door shut behind him. We walked up to the desk, and Harry began to ramble on at the nurse from his nervousness.

"My girlfriend is in labor and I need a doctor. How long is it going to be until she's out? I want her to be okay. Can we get a doctor over here? I want my baby girl!" Harry babbled until I covered his mouth with my hand that wasn't in his grip.

"I'm sorry about him, I just went into labor, could I get a doctor's attention?" I asked with a smile, my hand still over Harry's mouth. His eyes were wide and he was staring at me, shocked.

"No problem, right this way." the nurse laughed. She lead me to a room that wasn't too far of a walk. Looking around once we entered, I saw a bed with a table and a chair, and then all the supplies for delivery. I walked to the bed and sat down slowly, then waited for a doctor to come as my contractions began. Harry sat in the sear next to me, keeping his eyes glued to me.

"How are you being so calm about this?" he asked me seriously. Harry didn't understand how I wasn't as high-strung as he was. I laughed, and rolled my head to face him.

"Harry, this little baby has been inside me for nine months now. I'm pretty used to her. Though she's becoming stronger, staying calm will keep me less stressed when it comes time to bring her onto earth." I said happily. Harry looked more confused than he had ever been in his life while biting his fingernails. I realized I sounded like a teacher, I must have really been maturing from this whole process.

A few hours of labor passed as I lay in my hospital bed, talking to Harry and trying to calm him more than me the whole time.

Another contraction came with a moan from me as a doctor ran in. He looked me up and down, took some notes, then began to talk, "So, are you ready for this little sucker to come out?"

I laughed, "Let's do this, doc."

The doctor had nurses and come in and they began to set up everything. My bed was lifted to more of a sitting position and Harry was asked to stay out of the way, though he could stay in the room. I was told to get up and put on a hospital robe, which took me about ten minutes with no help. Coming back into the room, I saw everyone ready and waiting for me.

I sat down and curled up into the birthing position, and the doctor placed his hands at my entrance. I began to push, an unbearable pain surging through me. Harry instantly grabbed my hand as I shrieked.

"Push again, the head is already coming out!" the doctor said as I began to push again. I was thinking that Darcy must have been a rather large baby to cause me this much pain. I squeezed Harry's hand as I pushed with everything I had.

"Half way!" the doctor called from my other end, and I gave a final triumphant push. I felt all the pressure from inside me exit my body again. I was panting, tired of using so much effort. Harry instantly leaned down and kissed me when I was done.

"You did great, Layla. I'm so proud of you. You did it!" Harry cheered, though I could barely pay attention because I was so tired.

The loud echo of crying was in the room, and a thrashing new life was laying in the doctor's arms. He handed Darcy to a nurse, who then cleaned her off from all the blood. After the cleaning, Darcy was taken into testing for any medical conditions.

When Darcy and the nurses left the room along with the doctor, Harry crashed his lips onto mine. He cupped his hands on my cheeks and refused to let me free. He kissed me for a long time, and I began to feel wetness on my face. He pulled away for me to see him crying. Tears were stroked down his face and had fallen onto my own.

"You really did it Layla. You brought Darcy into this world. I love you." he smiled, voice shaking through his tears. He wiped them away, then looked right into my eyes, hovering over my face.

I smiled at him, knowing he wasn't right, "No Harry, we did it. We brought Darcy here, together."
