✨Kodi✨

" Bro, Ko, I swear to god you should have seen your face. You was looking like you thought he was your soul mate or some shit." I was currently on FaceTime with Junior. Avery was (again) with Carter and Winnie had to go some church event with her parents.

" Yeah, yall both looked like a bunch of idiots to be honest." Noah though, was sitting right next to me on my bed. The only reason he was even allowed on my bed on my bed or even in my room was because my father wasn't home. One thing Daniel Hampton did not play about was boys in the room.

Call me a rebel.

"Shut up, Noah. God, don't you have homework you could be doing." He always got like this when it came to another guy and me.

"Aye, Kodi. I might need your help with studying for this upcoming test I got in Forensics Science. You'll be able to spare some time?" Junior asked. I took Forensics Science last year so I know I would be able to help him.

" Yeah, but afterwards you have to take me to Steak and Shake and pay. And not through the drive-thru like last time. You were so rude to the girl at the window." I said, laughing.

" That was her fault. I'm trying to hand her the money and she gon ask me for my number. Bitch! If you don't take this money and hand me my got damn food..." he said laughing too. I looked over and saw Noah shaking his head and chuckling to himself.

"Junior! Mommy said you have to help me with my sight words." I heard one of Junior's little brothers saying in the background. Junior rolled his eyes but said he would talk to Noah and I tomorrow. Me and Junior said our goodbyes and hung up.

" So what was that today, Kodi? Really?" Noah asked, sitting up against my headboard.

" I don't know, Noah." I said.

He just sighed and got up putting on his shoes and hoodie that he had thrown to the floor when he first got here.

" Really, Noah? Your just going to leave? Come on just stay ok? My parents aren't home, so you don't have to go." I said, standing up and catching his arm before he got out the door.

I guess what me and Noah had was a friends with benefits type thing. And right now, I could use the benefits part.

He didn't say anything, just turned around and led me to the bed.

Noah loved me and I loved him for that.
