The one thing Kiara remembered when she woke up was the smell of blood, lots of blood. She looked around, the cold white walls made her shiver, the screams of pain down the hall made her wince. She tried to speak but found a tube practically shoved down her throat. She went to sit up but found cords attached to her, she confusion laced her frown as she furrowed her brow.
Where was she?
"Oh, you're awake!" A woman in all white exclaimed, relieved. "We were going to unhook you."
"Where—Where am I?" Kiara mumbled, confused.
"Oh, silly me, you don't know?" The woman chuckled, and Kiara decided she didn't like her very much.
"What's there to know?"
"Dear, you've been in a coma for two years," the woman chuckled once more, Kiara glared at the woman who somehow found this funny.
"Who are you?" She sneered.
"Nurse Lily." She smirked. "I work in the animal attacks ward."
"Animal attacks?"
"Hmm... Let me see what we have on you..." Nurse Lily flipped through some files. "Granger.. Greengrass... Ah! Here it is!" She cried as she finally found it.
"Well, get on with it then." Kiara complained, eager to find out what happened.
"Patient names: Richard and Penelope Green, Kiara Green. Current state: Richard and Penelope: Deceased Kiara Green: Alive, comatose, long scratch down right of face, will scar. All sight in right eye gone. Cause of injury/death: Animal attack whilst driving, Richard and Penelope found with bite and slash marks all over. Penelope found with bite marks and a slash across the face, barely breathing, but alive. Car was believed to have crashed into the animal, causing it to attack in an act of self defence, believed to be a mountain lion. Age of victims: Richard: 42 Penelope: 44 Kiara: 14 (currently 16, resides in Beacon County Hospital)"

"Your uncle." The nurse said vaguely. The door to the room opened. "Ah! Mr. Stilinski, just in time!"
