1. Secrets

Everything was perfect. The day was nice and slow, the weather was calm, and you were currently spending your time with your troublesome boyfriend who was resting his head on your lap. To think everything was chaos just a few months ago. But now it was tranquil, and you and your friends couldn't be happier. You all continued your normal lives, even the former Barian emperors became accustomed to the new world and settled in.

You smiled to yourself and moved around a bit to get more comfortable. When you did, Vector let out an annoyed whine.

"Don't move around so much (y/n), I'm trying to sleep."

"You're such a child." You giggled softly and ran your fingers through his orange hair.

He also cracked a smile. "Child? Don't you mean prince?" He lazily winked at you.

You chuckled. "You were a prince Vector. Not too sure if you're still one now though."

"Hmm you have a point, but you're still my princess~"

"Don't say things like that!" You hit him lightly on the head with a light blush creeping onto your cheeks.

"Aww I made you blush!" He smirked.

"That's because you always say embarrassing things!"

He sat up and cupped your cheek. "Well I'm your boyfriend so I'm supposed to embarrass you."

"What kind of logic is that?!"

He silenced you by kissing you softly on the lips. You didn't mind of course but he really was a handful, especially in front of the others. Whether you two were alone or not he wouldn't hesitate to display his strong affections towards you. Sometimes it was just a hug or a quick kiss but either way he always caught you off guard.

Your lips parted soon afterwards and he pulled you into his arms and rested his head on your shoulder. You heard him coo something in your ear.

"I'm so tired (y/n). Won't you make me feel better?"

'This guy,' You thought. "You've been tired this whole day Vector. What's wrong?"

He groaned again. "I forgot how boring this school was. Plus, Yuma hasn't been leaving me alone. Always asking me for a damn duel."

You smiled and patted his back. "Poor poor Vector," You cooed. "Perhaps another kiss will make you feel better?"

He immediately sat straight again and grinned devilishly. "It certainly would."

"Tch, you really are a child." You kissed him again which automatically brightened your boyfriend's mood.

"Yes but you still love me and I love you~" He kissed your cheek.

You hummed happily. "I guess that's true."

You stayed still in his embrace and looked up at the sky again. Ever since you rekindled and reaffirmed your feelings for each other, each day felt like bliss with the former Barian. Thinking back on it all, it was hard to believe you two went through so much together. There were so many mixed emotions and questionable things he did but somehow, you pulled through.

Then, a thought crossed your mind. It was something you never really acknowledged until now. A small question that you never really heard the answer to.

"Vector,"

"What is it?"

"Why did you fall in love with me?"

You felt him tense up, and there was a sudden silence that overcame the two of you. Neither of you moved.

Thinking he was just collecting his thoughts, you waited. But he still didn't answer. A few more moments passed until you realized that you should probably explain yourself more.
