"So when are you free in the holiday's?" Asked Brooke.
"Well I'm... " I started.
"The first week I am at my grandma's place,' she remarked, butting in as usual. "Then I have my acting classes in the last week and I am going to Bali in between." She finished.
"So you're not free, at all?" I asked when she finished. We were walking to our classrooms for the last lesson of the year. Brooke and I go to South Beach High School.
"Yep, pretty much" she said. "What are you doing?"
"Absolutely...nothing"
"You could play with... Bella?"
"Brooke,"mi said "You have not spent a whole lesson with Bella"
"True," she said.
" I'll see you after class," I said as we entered our classes.

"Your holiday homework is to write a recount of what you have done, class dismissed" said Ms.Ella.
I'm free, I thought as I exited the class. Brooke was at the end of the hallway. We walked down the front stairs together. "Bye!" she called walking to her mum's car.
"See ya!" I answered.I waited at the steps for a few more minutes until my mum drove in.
"Hi mum" I said getting in the car. "Hey sweetie!" She answered.
While we have a moment I would like to introduce myself. My name is Shi...Grace Green. I lived in South Beach as you already know. I'm 13 years old and I live alone with my mum Rachael Green. My dad... well, we better get back to the story.
We pulled into the driveway and got out the car. I flung my bag over my shoulder as we walked to the door.

"Hmm, what to do on my first day alone in the holidays?" I had this thought as I lay in bed. "I'll ask Brooke if she is free tomorrow for a picnic on the beach" I finalised.
"Yep, sounds good" said Brooke.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed half falling out of bed, tangled in sheets.
"Don't worry Grace you butt-dialled me." Brooke replied through my phone in my back pocket.
"Oh my god you scared me 3/4 to death!"
"Soz,"
"Anyway, how about 10:30 at my place?" I said.
"Cool, see ya then,"
"Bye"
"Night"
"Night.."
I hung up the phone and went to sleep.
