Your POV
I woke up at around 2 in the morning realizing Rick wasn't in bed. I decided to look for him. I went downstairs and headed straight for the garage knowing that was his personal space.
I opened the door to see his head on the desk most likely asleep. I went over to him and shook him a bit. Nothing. I decided to look around. There were a bunch of different looking machines which I knew were capable of doing the impossible. I made sure not to touch any of them. I went over to sleeping Rick and saw a device next to him. This intrigued me and I decided to touch it. It looked like he was trying to fix it. I opened the latch and looked inside. It seemed to be missing something with the color green because it had a little green color mark.
I went over to the shelf and looked through some of the boxes. I found the first green item in there and plugged it into the machine. I turned it on. I pointed it to a pencil and shot. It duplicated the pen meaning the device was most likely a duplicator. This was really cool, I thought to myself.
I pointed the little machine around like it was a gun. I pointed the gun around the garage and shot at a few things. I felt someone touch my back so I spun around and aimed the device at them.
"Woah, sweetie.. I don't think you'd want two of me." Rick said with his hands up.
I put the device down and returned to Rick.
"What are you doing down here this early?" He asked.
"You weren't in bed so I went to look for you.." I said.
"Woah, you fixed it!" Rick said surprised inspecting the duplicator.
"Yeah.." I said.
"You should go back to bed." Rick told me.
"No way. I'm fully awake at this point. No reason going back to sleep now" I said with a sudden urge to be more adventurous.
"It's 2 in the morning. What are you gonna do at this time?" He asked.
"I don't know. Why don't you tell me?" I said raising one of my eyebrows and crossing my arms. Rick perked at me wanting to do something crazy at this time.
"Alright." He said standing up straight. He got his portal gun and grabbed me. He shot it revealing a green portal. We walked into it instantly being transported into some other place.
"Nope." He said and shot the gun again. We did this a few times till he found a place.
"Here." He handed me one of those guns that shot lasers.
"No fucking way!" I said excitedly.
~Time Skip~
"Ohhhh shiiiitt!! That was great!" I laughed as I walked through the green portal back home with Rick. We were both covered in goey alien blood.
"Haha sure was." Rick said.
Morty was standing in the garage when we teleported back.
"Where'd you guys go?" He asked.
"We went portal hopping!" I said.
"And now.. We're going shopping!" Summer squealed and grabbed my arm dragging me out of the garage. I looked over to Rick and Morty and mouthed 'help'.
"Now let's get you some stuff to wear since your going to be here for a while." She said excitedly.
"Sure" I said and shrugged, "Who's taking us?"
"My mom, but don't worry she won't stick around." Summer said.
We got into Beth's car and drove off to the mall. I hadn't been to the mall in forever, actually.. I hadn't even been outside (Earth) in a while.
We arrived there soon enough and Beth's mom dropped us off. She told Summer to text her when we were finished and then she left.
"C'mon Y/N, let's go!" Summer said. I followed her into a few shops and picked out a few things for myself.
"Wait. How are we paying?" I asked.
"Credit card, duh." She said holding out a credit card. We payed for the stuff and left.
"Well we visited my favorite shops, what are some of yours?" She asked.
"I never went out shopping with my family, so I don't really have any favorite shops." I said bitterly. She looked compassionately at me.
"Let's get something to eat." She said changing directions to go to the food court. We got some food and chatted. I learned that Summer wasn't that bad when she was away from that phone. We became friends and I started to like her.
Ricks POV
"Come on M-Morty. Let's go." I said starting the spaceship.
"W-where are we going?" He asked.
"We gotta get some more stuff for my new device." I said.
We both got in and stopped at the nearest alien hardware store. We got out and I started looking for some things that I needed.
"Oh shit" I said quietly after seeing a guard for the Galactic Federation "Get down Morty." I said grabbing him. We crouched behind an aisle. I listened in on their conversation.
"Did you hear, Rick Sanchez from the Earth dimension has been traveling around with a girl instead of a Morty." The guard started. This got my full attention.
"Yeah.. I heard they went in and caused destruction to a small town down in Kwaplgrab(idk)" The other guy said. How the hell did they know.
"We're thinking about keeping an eye on her. We don't know much but Rick and this girl could have something together. We could get her and hold her hostage. Maybe Rick would turn himself in that way." The guard said.
That got me. I pulled out my gun and shot the guard straight in the head. I shot the other guy too. People started running out of the building. I grabbed all the stuff I needed and Morty and got out of this place. I needed to get to Y/N as fast as possible.
Morty and I got into the car quickly and sped back home.
