"What the hell happened?" I asked.
"Long story short, these... uh aliens came in and took Beth and Summer while Morty and I hid. They replaced them with those versions." Jerry explained.
"YOU DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO SAVE THEM?" Rick snapped at Jerry.
"Uhh I did but uh..." Jerry nervously tugged at his collar.
"Do you know who took them or where?" Rick sighed. He grabbed his flask from his coat and chugged it.
I was about to slap it out of his hand but I let him finish it. He was mad and I didn't want to make it worse.
"They were slug-like creatures." I said.
"Fucking parasites everywhere." Rick angrily cursed under his breath.
"Where are we going to find them?" I asked Rick.
"Probably where parasites live... duh." He said and flicked my head.
"Ow!" I yelled.
"Fuck you." I cursed under my breath but he heard it and smiled for a split second before returning to his serious and mad face.
"Shit. It would take a week to get to the Paraland."
"Paraland!" I laughed at the silly name.
He smiled again but this time struggled to go back to his serious face. I was glad I could make him in a somewhat better mood.
"They're not good with words, what did you expect."
"I got an idea. Open the window." I said.
"The entire top would come off, I don't exactly have windows." Rick explained.
"Just do it." I said. He listened and opened the entire top. Morty and Jerry held on tightly to their seats since the wind was rushing really fast. I stood up and grabbed my portal gun. I almost lost my balance with the rushing wind but Rick held his hand on my back keeping me up while still driving to keep me steady. I stared ahead and shot the portal. We were in.. Paraland!
"Get inside quickly!" Rick said while closing the top. I quickly ducked and got back into my seat. I looked around, everything was destroyed.
"What happened here?" I asked.
"I don't know..." Rick said.
There was a lit up building in the distance on a floating island. It was the only place that looked inhabited. Rick noticed it and we started heading that way. Once we reached there Rick grabbed his guns and got up.
"Hey where's mine?" I asked wondering why he didn't give me a gun.
"Your not coming." He said sternly.
"Rick!" I yelled but it was too late he locked the car. I tried to unlock the car but it didn't work.
"Protect Y/N" was all Rick said before he left into the building.
I screamed and yelled but he didn't come back. I was on the verge of tears but I was also mad at him. Morty placed a hand on my shoulder.
"He knows what he's doing Y/N. I know he can be this way but he's just trying to protect you." He reassured me.
I heard what Morty had said but I didn't look at him or say anything I just stared outside at the doors he walked through hoping he would come back. You never knew when the last time you'd see him would be. I was alway scared... of losing him.
I sighed realizing all I could do was wait now. Jerry was surprisingly quiet. I hoped he knew how much trouble he caused.
Only a minute had passed before I went insane.
"Let me out!" I yelled at the ship.
"Protect Y/N" it repeated. I groaned.
I opened up the mainboard system and messed around in there. It took a few minutes for me to re-adjust the settings but I finally got it. I unlocked the door and it worked. I wasn't trapped anymore. I checked the dashboard to see if he had a spare gun in there and he did. He was smart to keep one in here.
"I'll see you guys." I said to them.
"Wait we can come!" Jerry said.
"You've caused enough trouble."
"What about me?" Morty asked.
"I don't want you to get hurt." I said. I had repeated what Rick did and locked them in the car. I probably shouldn't have done that but I didn't turn back. I kept moving forward and through the doors. Inside I found myself in a maze. The building was gigantic I decided to go upstairs. I heard yelling at the top floor so I quickly ran up there.
I shoved the doors open.
"How the fuck?" Rick said to me. He was pointing a gun at a really large parasite.
"I'm smart." I said and shrugged.
"You were supposed to stay in the car Y/N!" He raised his voice getting mad at me.
"No I couldn't let you go alone. I work with you not you by yourself. K?" I argued.
"Oh shut up you two. But thank you Y/N for joining us since YOU are what I want." The parasite spoke and I realized what he said.
Before I could do anything I was shot.
