I get back into my jeans and loose cut tee shirt and immediately head home. I just wanna sleep. I know Karina and I are going shopping later tonight, so I figure I'll just rest up until then. I get home and there is a note on the fridge from Karina, it says:
Arrr,
I had to run out to get new ballet shoes, I ripped a hole in mine, whoops! After that I have jazz and hip-hop so I won't be home till like 7:30. You'll have to grab something to eat without me ): And I will meet you at the mall at 8? Love you girll.
-Kar
I laugh at the note and head right for the couch. Karina is my best friend in the whole world, she is a short, petite little dancer who has everythign going for her. Yes, that means she is absolutely stunning. She is African American so I often make a lot of racist jokes and I know she is my best friend when she puts up with them. She is out here at a dance school, on a full ride and I'm here living the dream, modeling and all. We live in a tiny apartment, with one bedroom (two beds of course), a kitchen, and a little family room with a couch and a tv. There is really not much more to it.
Karina's 18 and me 17, both from London, neighboring towns actually. I don't have an accent considering I was born a US citizen and have traveled back and forth between New York and London my whole life. My mom is the CEO of Comso which is why I have my job, I owe everything to her. My dad is the owner of some huge Law Firm that I know absolutely nothing about. But yeah, my parents mean the world to me, but besides Karina I don't really have any other friends. The other models come and go, most of them too self centered to even understand me. I just stay to myself at work. My love life you ask? Horrible. A wise lady once told me that a successful women doesn'y need a man to support her. And after I went against her word and had my heart ripped out, I never dated again. That wise woman was my mom, and she always tells me I can support myself. As much as I love how independent I am, I can't help but miss the company of another. Someone who can make me smile and laugh and make me feel like a princess. But who knows, maybe I'm not the type of girl who gets a prince.
I decide to take a quick nap, order out from Panera, come home, eat alone, then head to the mall. I grab a blanket and crash on the couch.
I wake up right around 6:30 and decide to head to Panera. I pull up my hair and throw on an oversized sweater and leggings then head out. Panera is within walking distance which is so perfect, well to me it is. I get in there and sure enough who do I see? None other than five boys with perfect hair and charming smiles all laughing and joking around. I go right into line hoping none of them will notice me. But of course I'm not that lucky because Harry meets my gaze and starts walking over. He smiles and says, 'Fancy seeing you here"
"Hi Harry"
"Do you wanna join us for dinner?"
"Actually I have somewhere I need to be"
"Ohhh. Right. Of course you have somewhere to go. Where might that be?"
"Uhh.."
"Uh? That's funny. I've never heard of that place. Is it new?"
"Aren't you funny?"
"I will be saving you a seat and I expect to see you ass in it."
"Yeah, thanks for the offer, but I think I'll just go."
The Panera barrista turns to me and says, 'What can I get you today?"
"A grilled cheese and a bottle of water please."
"And will that be here or to go?"
Harry jumps in and says, "For here. And you can put it on my card"
