Too good to be true

  The weekend went by at a slower pace than normal. All Y/N wanted to do was to be at school just so she could see Thomas. He was like a drug and she really needed it. None of her friends wanted to talk to her, and it made her feel depressed.

Sunday morning Y/N was woken up by a message on her phone. The vibrations made an annoying sound in her bed table. Her eyes wide opened and checked who it was.

Unknown: Hi Y/N! How are you? Hope you are feeling better.

Wait what? Who could this be, asking how she was doing? She took her time to answer.

Y/N: Ehmm, hello there. May I ask who you are?

She sat in silence as she waited for the response.

Unknown: Oh, yes my dear! It's Thomas, teacher in English class if you remember me?

Y/N couldn't believe her eyes. Was Thomas contacting her?! She felt a rush in her body and a sudden urge to hear his voice.

Y/N: Yes, of course I remember you! I'm doing much better thanks:)

Y/N felt like she needed to lie a little because she was actually feeling terrible but didn't want to take it all out on Thomas.

Thomas: That's good to hear! And your friends? Have you talked to them?

Thomas asking about Y/N friends was nothing she expected and it made her shiver.

Y/N: Well, actually... I haven't spoken to them in a while, I think they are avoiding me.

The last thing she wanted to talk about now was just that. She wanted to let go and forget about her ex-friends. Y/N could see that Thomas was typing for a long time before finally sending a text.

Thomas: Oh, I'm sorry... I have an idea to cheer you up!

Now what could that be? Y/N was very curious now. Thomas continued typing and she felt like she was getting static!

Thomas: Y/N. Do you want to go out with me? Just have some fun out of the town or anything? :) You don't need to, just say no if you don't want to.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat. Was her English teacher asking her out? That isn't actually legal, but that made it even more of a fun thought.
Without hesitating, Y/N wrote the answer which were to change her future for ever.

Y/N: Yes! Of course I want to! I'm looking forward to it already!

Thomas replied almost instantly.

Thomas: Good! How about next saturday?

Y/N was in shock. Thomas wanted a date with her on Saturday already! Could she call it a date?

Y/N: Sounds great, see ya!

Y/N answered and Thomas replied with a heart and Y/N felt butterflies in her stomach.

The week went by really fast, and Y/N and Thomas managed to press in some small talk here and there, but both knew they couldn't be too obvious.
