I'm giving you all a warning now.....if you're uncomfortable with the  mention of blood, vomit, or anything gore DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! There will be a lot of blood mentioned and gore-filled scenes coming along.

*Back at the house*

Scott's POV

We were all sitting in the living room, listening to the rain, before Kirstie gives us an update on Avi.

"Hey. How is he?"

Obviously a nervous wreck she replies. "I..um..I have him assetitives. So he should be out for a couple hours. But...fuck...his burns are serious. Like...second or third degree."

"This is so wrong." Kevin states.

"Well nobody could have known he would do something so twisted Kevin!!"

Losing his cool, Mitch snaps. "No YOU should have known Kirstie! We've all been following your lead since we got here. We should have left when Avi wanted to." his voice cracks on the last sentence.

"Mitch please." I cut him off. "Ok let's not lose our heads. Ok? Hopefully it'll stop raining in a couple of hours and we'll be able to cross the river in the morning. Then we'll take him to the hospital. Everything's gonna be fine."

"'Everything's gonna be fine. Everything's gonna be fine.' I don't know if you've noticed this but nothing has been fine. Everything's been getting worse. Every second." Kevin says.

Interrupting Kevin, Mitch loudly gasps gaining all of our attention. He was staring down the dark hallway as if he's seen a monster. What we saw we weren't expecting.

It was Avi.

He was dragging a long-barreled shotgun beside him and his head was twitching. His damp hair was hanging around his face and it made him look even creepier...

"Avi?"

He doesn't respond. He just continues to stare at the floor with wide eyes. It's as if he's not even there. He's not himself.

"Avi? What are you doing?" Kirstie questions.

Still no response. His eyes just widen a little bit more.

I hold a hand out and very slowly walk towards Avi. "Avi...put the gun down. Put the gun down...please."

He raises his head slowly and stares straight into my worried filled blue eyes. As he was staring he started to raise the shotgun and pointed it towards me, finger already on the trigger.

"Avi! Put the fucking gun..."

BANG!!

He fired the gun and the bullet went into my right shoulder. I screamed in pain and fell from the harsh blow.

But a few seconds later something strange and scary happened.

A strong wind blew the front door open and Avi started screaming at the top of his lungs, eyes clenched shut. Voices could be heard through Avi's screaming and the strong, hurricane-like winds. The voices were saying:

YOU WILL DIE!!

HE'S COMING FOR YOU!!

FIVE SOULS WILL BE TAKEN TONIGHT!!
