It was a warm, clear day in Orde. A gentle breeze drifted through the small mountain town as birds chirped merrily in the vast amounts of trees. As noon approaches, children start going to the small, ran down playground. The seats of the swings are cracked and dry and the metal slides are worn and dented. This doesn't seem to bother the children as they play as happily and as enthusiastically as they would on a new playground.
While the children play blissfully in the warm sun, their parents enjoy each other's company. They sip lemonade and iced tea on the quaint pavilion, whose paint has faded some. A woman begins to gossip as the others listen intently, hanging onto every syllable like starving crows would to corn. She is about five foot seven with curly, medium length hair. She is blonde but you can tell her hair is dyed because her dark roots with shimmers of grey show awkwardly.
"You know, I saw Victoria coming out of that run down abandoned house last night!" The other women gasp in shock and ask why she was there. "Why would she be there for Laura?" An older woman asks. "Well, I wasn't outright enough to ask but everyone knows that the people who go there are all on drugs." The other women keep sipping their drinks in suspense as Laura keeps gossiping.
They are so busy gossiping in fact, that they fail to notice Victoria walking by on her way home from a friend's house. Victoria has a short, asymmetrical bob and natural ash blonde hair. However, she keeps it dyed a blue-black, which doesn't help with her reputation. Her soft, almond shaped eyes are hazel and her skin is very pale. She isn't very tall at five foot two inches and she is of average weight. As she hears the women gossip about her, she glares in disbelief and anger at the windbags and keeps walking.
After the young nineteen year old Victoria gets home, she plops down on her old, beat up couch. She sighs abysmally as she looks around at the old, small trailer. The walls are white but have yellowed over time. The ceiling has stains from various leaks through the years and the carpet is old and raggedy. She wonders how long she will have to live in this horrid place as she drifts off to sleep.
