Victoria dreads going home. After a day filled with demanding customers, the last thing she wants is to feign happy family with her mother. She loves her mom but they are polar opposites. Both are headstrong and refuse to admit defeat. However, Victoria will admit when she's wrong, her mother can't seem to, which infuriates Victoria. Her mother likes calmness and certainty. Victoria likes to explore and try new things. After walking for a few short minutes, Victoria is snapped away from her thoughts by thick, cold rain drops. Her face expresses confusion as she looks at the sky.
"It was grey this morning but it cleared up. Not a cloud in sight and now it's raining all of the sudden?" Victoria wraps her arms around herself and rushes home as the rain begins falling faster, soaking her. When she finally reaches her trailer, she stops and stares at the door. "I really don't want to go home," she thinks desperately. Suddenly, a warm sensation radiates through her cold, wet shoulder and she turns to see the source. "You're going to catch a cold if you stay in the cold rain." Comes a soft, calm, mid tone voice.
Victoria tries to see who is talking to her, but the man's umbrella hangs in a way that makes it impossible. The man pulls the umbrella back and she can see it's Schon. "Oh, hello Schon." "Ah Victoria you remembered my name, what an honor." He lowers his head slightly in a sort of bowing motion and a grin dawns his face. Victoria begins to feel awkward. "This man, Schon. So proper and obviously wealthy meaning he could be doing anything, but he's here." For some reason, she just can't seem to shake this nagging feeling in the back of her mind. "If you don't mind me asking, why are you in the rain?" His sudden response jolts Victoria out of her thoughts. "I was caught in it on my way home from work." "I see. Is everything okay? You seem as if you do not wish to go inside your home." Schon's eyes look at Victoria's trailer with a small frown.
Victoria feels offended and can tell Schon thinks her home is low class. Still, she buries that and retains her manners. "Well, my mom and I haven't exactly been seeing eye to eye lately." A sudden flicker shines briefly in schon's deep eyes. "Well, why don't you get cleaned up and I will show you around my place for a bit." Victoria prepares to shoot him down but remembers what Nicole said earlier. After thinking for a moment, she decides to take a chance. Schon seems happy and waits inside his car while Victoria showers and gets dressed.
The warm shower feels good on her cold skin but the warmth is also making her even more sleepy. She pats her face and jumps up and down a bit to wake up, then finishes her shower. "Wonder why Schon wants me to come over? Maybe he pities me? Or maybe he likes me as Nicole says. Hm, but why would he like me for? He could have anyone he wanted. I don't trust him. Maybe he just wants to rub his wealth in my face like most rich people do. Well, it's better than being here." She grabs some clothes but decides to put them back.
"I won't feel right going to a wealthy place in casual clothes." Digging feverishly through her closet and drawers, she finally finds a dress. Victoria can't stand dresses usually but sometimes she likes to wear them. The dress she has is simple and blue but still better than jeans and a t-shirt. She quickly puts the dress on, ignores the make-up and grabs her umbrella. Victoria notices that her mother didn't greet her and realizes she isn't home. Deciding it's a bad idea not to let her know where she is, Victoria leaves her mother a note and heads outside. Schon pulls up beside of her and she marvels at his ride.
It is a metallic blue sports car, that is clearly of foreign design. Once inside, the interior leather lulls her skin into a comfortable zone and Schon welcomes her to try the seat warmer if she's cold. Victoria decides to use them since she doesn't have a coat on. To her surprise, the bottom not only warms, but the top as well. This seat is even more comfortable than her own bed. She glances over at Schon and notices a slight grin on his face.
