"We have a problem." Draven states as he makes his way over to the bed. He sits beside Victoria cautiously, waiting for her to cringe but she doesn't. Victoria waits for him to speak but he seems deep in thought and slightly confused. "Draven?" He jerks his head up, snapped out of his confused mind.
"Right. So, I have to tell you something that will probably terrify you." he stares at his hands in a way that makes her think he loathes himself. He drifts back into his mind, worried that she will tell Schon what has happened. Calmly, she puts her hand on his shoulder. "Draven, whatever it is you can tell me." "But....Schon." "He doesn't have to know anything, right?"
"I fed off of you while you were sleeping." Her eyes widen not in fear, but surprise. "But I didn't feel anything?" "A vampire is very dangerous. I keep telling you this." "Why didn't I feel anything?" "Because. A vampire's fangs have a venom inside of them that numbs the location they bite. It lasts only a few moments, long enough to drain a victim."
Victoria doesn't reply and waits for Draven to continue. "Aren't you even the least bit angry at me?" "Well. It's not like I'm in pain right? And you obviously didn't kill me. Why would I be angry?" "I almost did kill you. I had to feed you my blood to save you." Victoria is now aware of how dangerous Draven can be but she still isn't angry with him.
"So what's the problem then?" She asks confused. "I told Schon that I wanted to try one of the witches he has in the dungeon. He handed me this book to read." He hands her the book and stands up quietly to leave. Before exiting, he turns to her once more. "Oh, page three hundred and forty two. I forgot how slowly humans read, you are probably the same. And one more thing. Never tell Schon you know about the other witches."
She looks at him with a worried expression as he leaves the room. With nothing better to do Victoria opens the book to the page Draven directed her to and begins reading. A witches powers are indeed great once fully realized by said witch. Many supernaturals will be attracted to her, but none as much as the vampire. This creature of night will not only crave her blood but usually ends up feeding from the witch almost instantly. Only those old enough and powerful enough will be able to be in her presence and not feed. This can be a bad thing indeed.
The vampire, overwhelmed by the emotion that flows into him or her, emotion that the vampire itself, has not felt since the day it was changed can lead the vampire to drink the witch dry. Witches are especially tempting to originals. No matter how old this type of vampire is, it can not refuse the witches allure. To feel love, sympathy, joy, a vampire would give almost anything to fill the void in it's hollow heart. However, this can also be a good thing.
Very rarely, a vampire will be able to stop itself from killing the witch. The reasons why have not been discovered. Most drain their victim to death. If the witch has full control over her powers, the vampire will become her slave. She can control the vampire, using the promise of her blood. Even if the witch decides not to give the vampire her blood, the vampire will do as she says anyway in hopes of eventually getting some.
This can also end in tragedy if the witch is not powerful enough to defend herself, a vampire lusting for your blood is a dangerous situation. There is no cure to the vampire's lust for the witches blood, especially if it's tasted the blood. Victoria closes the book, completely shocked by it's revelations about vampires and witches. She wants to ask Draven what they should do, what she should do, but he isn't in her room.
She gets up and makes her way out of her room, barely able to see. "This castle is huge. How am I suppose to find him in the dark. And who knows what else is in this castle hiding in the shadows. Maybe they have super hearing, like in human myth?" She calls out with a normal tone for the vampire and waits, feeling foolish.
