Kenta put his brand new ninja sandals on and jumped off his bed, moving towards the mirror. He placed hid left hand on his empty forehead, "I'll be a ninja in no time flat!"

There was a knock on the door that startled Kenta, "Kenta, are you ready?" His mother was at the door. Usually a servant would knock on his door to ask if he was ready, but today was indeed a special occasion. "Kenta?" She knocked again.

Kenta finally gained his composure and walked over to the door, "of course I am!" He slid the the door open as fast as he could to reveal his self to his mother. His mother was obviously wearing a fake smile, nodding in fake approval of his readiness.

"Get your backpack hun." She pointed to Kenta's new backpack that he hadn't even worn yet. He ran over and threw the backpack on his back slipping his arms through the straps.

"Alright!" Kenta saluted himself and ran past his mom, garnering a scowl from her.

"Kenta, save your energy!" His mother yelled after him to avail, as he was already down the stairs next to his father who had been waiting for him.

"You sure are ready aren't you?" Kazo ruffled the hair on Kenta's head with hid hand. Kenta chuckled and crossed hid arms, he was ready to show everyone that he is so much more than just some rich kid.

"I've been ready, all this energy has been built up for a long time!" He jumped up high enough to make eye contact with his father, who laughed at his son's actions.

"Ah, so I can see waking him wasn't a problem?" Kazo glanced up the stairs at Mara, who still wore a scowl from earlier.

"Of course not." Kenta calmed a little and glanced back at his mother. He thought that she just needed to get over herself, seeing that today was the first in awhile that she even involved herself with waking him. "Kenta," Mara squatted to face Kenta, "Make sure to use your manners and listen to everything you are told."

Kenta couldn't stand how his mother never focused on the task at hand, always telling him to worry about his behavior before anything else. "Of course I will mom!" Kenta gave his mother the big fake smile he always gave her in order to gain her approval so he could move on with his day.

Mara reached out and pulled Kents in for a tight hug. Kenta was surprised at first, but he came to the realization that his mother was only worried that he might get hurt while at the Academy.

"Alright, we need to be going. " Kazo said, sounding a little urgent after looking at his pager. Kenta pulled free from his mother and walked up to the door.

"Alright! Leeeeeeet's Gooooo!" Before Mara could say another word Kenta burst through the door and down the road. Kazo chuckled and embraced his wife into a tight hug.

"I know that you're worried, but this is what he wants." Mara didn't really want to hear that.

"Should we be letting a 10 year old make such serious decision?" Kazo separated himself from Mara and gave her a reassuring smile.

"He's going to be just fine."

...

Kenta finally stopped to catch his breath after making it at least 5 blocks away from his house. He was bent over holding his knees and panting to catch his breath. "I knew I shouldn't have cheated on all of those cardio exercises." Kenta was startled by a familiar chuckle from behind, his father had already caught up to him.

"You're skipping exercises now?" Kazo patted Kenta on the head, getting a grunt and crossed arms in response.

"No, not all of them." Kenta enjoyed all of his exercises except for cardio.

"Well, let's get going." Kenta was a little surprised, his father seemed to be worried about something. He usually was always calm or joking around, never serious like he was at the moment.

"So... what exactly happens at your first day at the Academy?" asked Kenta, doing his best to get his father's mind off of whatever was bothering him.

"Mostly you go through an introduction of what your next year at the Academy will be like, and there's an automatic elimination test now." Kenta didn't like hearing that, he was terrible at formal tests.

"A test?" Kazo looked down at his son and smirked, he knew of Kenta's problem with tests.

"Don't worry it's a physical test," Kazo could feel the excitement oozing from Kenta now, "and I'm sure that you'll do fine." Kenta couldn't even find words to say, he would easily be the best student out of the gate. He was positive that no other student at the Academy had received the training that he possessed.

...

Kenta and his father rounded a corner and in a flash Kazo yanked Kenta back behind the corner.

"Father?" Kazo knelt to face his son and placed a finger over his own lips.

"Stay here, I have some business to attend to." Kenta could tell his father was stressed, as he should be. Kazo worked with the investigation unit of the village and there had been several murders over the past month, today there was likely another.

"Alright." Kenta wanted to get to the Academy but he understood that his father's work was extremely important.

...

Kazo approached the crime scene, already surrounded by other people from his unit. "Shishido, what have you gathered so far?"

Character Introduction:
Shishido Nara, 30
Black hair up in a tie
Jounin Outfit

Shishido kept his eyes on the closed crime scene, "Little girl, maybe 7, killed in the middle of the night." Kazo nodded after Shishido stopped speaking and entered the crime scene to be disgusted with what he saw. All that could seen was blood all over the location, some remnants of a dress, and what looker like a head face down covered in hair.

Kazo covered his face with his arm so he wouldn't have to gaze upon the disgusting sight anymore, "Shishido come here at once!"

Shishido didn't run but kept a good pace to get to where Kazo was standing, "I know, its awful."

Kazo nodded slightly and turned to face his number 2. "Do you know anything more?"

Shishido raised a clipboard that he had in his right hand, inhaling deeply. "Well, this isn't certain but we do believe that whoever did this committed the crime with a CEW (Chakra Extracting Weapon)."

"A CEW?!" This shocked Kazo, why would someone go after undeveloped Chakra in that of a child.

"A possible reason we do believe would be that the suspect wanted a easy target." Shishido lowered the clipboard again, having given Kazo all the information that he had gathered.

"Alright," Kazo scratched his chin, "my son needs to be getting to school, I'll come by the unit afterwards."

"We'll be expecting you." The two nodded towards the other and Kazo went back to his son.

...

"Alright," Kazo had walked Kenta all the way to the entrance, "Do you remember where you're going?"

"Yes!" Kenta was sure that he was over prepared with how many times he went over this scenario.

"Good, I have to go the unit," Kazo gave his son a hug, "Captain Huyushi should be here to take you home."

"Alright, see ya dad."
