Chapter 2: Scenery

I was truly happy for once. I was able to actually be with the one I love. No matter whatever the cost, I will protect her.

"Samuel!" My ears perked as Shimmer called my name, and I trotted to her room. It was very pink which kinda seemed... Ok VERY strange to me, but hey! Doesn't matter.

"Yes Shimmer?" She turned around and smiled at me. "Wanna go for a stroll around the kingdom?" I smiled and went to the side of Shimmer, and laid it across her. "Sure, why not?" She chuckled, removed my wing, and she walked off. I walked after her.

IN THE CITY OF LIGHT AND DARK.

"Wow, this city has intricate designs, that remind me of the gryphon kingdom." I stared in surprise at all the architecture around us as we walked.

Shimmer leaned into my side, and I smiled down at her, her returning the gaze. "So what do you want to do now Shimmer?" I wrapped my wing across her, and she chuckled. "I don't know. There's one downside to the city. There may be a lot of architecture, and pretty sites, there's nothing to do!"

Shimmer sighed in boredom, and I put a hoof to my chin in thought. I gazed to my left to see a bowling center, a photo booth, and a martial arts area.

I shook my head at the last two, but the bowling may work. 'I'll save it for later...' I thought.

"Hey Shimmer?" She looked up at me and smiled. "Yes Samuel?" "How about we go for a date? Just you, me, and the city." I smiled, and Shimmer gasped. "Really?" I nodded my head up and down, what she did was unexpected. She hugged me. "I'll take that as a definate yes." She made a squeezing sound, and let go.

"Shall we go then my lady?" I bowed, and she chuckled. "What a gentleman." I smiled and stood up. I offered her my hoof, she took it, and we flew off for a proper place to take our date to.
