A/N (don't start the video yet I'll let you know when later in the chapter)

The abyssals, unknown creatures from the depths all that is known is that they are aggressive, brutal, and dangerous. From the moment they appeared they reeked havoc cutting off all trade routes, destroying coastal cities, and devastating entire navies in short order it's not until the Japanese managed to summoned their world war 2 ships back to aide in the fight, other countries followed suit.  However it soon became apparent this will be a long war as the abyssals seem near endless in number as time went on the ship girls were gradually pushed back.

Countries summoned every ship they could but after many attempts modern ships for whatever reason failed to answer the call many governments gave up until a ship with a well known name appeared.

Kure Naval shipyard :

(heavy sigh)

"admiral what is the matter" said a tall black haired women in white and red clothing

"nothing just tired" replied an older man in uniform

"admiral I know the situation is dire but I'm sure you'll figure something out"

"thanks for the bout of confidence Fuso"

"could you get today's paperwork"

"yes sir admiral Takeda"

"thank you"

As Fuso left the room admiral Takeda leaned back in his chair and let out another sigh, admiral Takeda was a middle aged man with short black hair with dark brown eyes average build in his dress whites. The man was tired how could he not be after a series of failed operations the ship girls have taken a beating, compounded by the fact japan is suffering from a lack of resources with the abyssals roaming the pacific it's near impossible to get supplies through and what supplies that do come through don't last for long.

(door opens)

Fuso returns with a massive stack of paper work in her arms she puts the papers down and splits it in half and starts to sift through the paperwork.

" Thank you....Nagato how have our summoning attempts been going "

Fuso frowns

"not good admiral for some reason modern vessels simply refuse to appear we've summoned everything from civilian cruise liners to age of sail vessels but no modern warships I'm starting to think they don't want to come"

"nonsense they just need some motivation that is all "

Admiral Takeda was an optimistic man he loved gambling and unlike his fellow officers and friend Admiral Goto he was more persistent than a bull dog and he had a hunch on modern vessels. All the major ship girls nations tried to summon their modern ships first but all had failed, they either summoned a different ship or got no ships at all but Takeda figured there is something missing.

"well the fact were in a war should be motivation enough" said Fuso with a irritated tone

"indeed I thought they would answer the call long ago but it clearly isn't the case''

He gets up from his desk and looks out the window for a moment

"this time I shall accompany the summoning"

"you admiral" said Fuso with a confuse look

"yes I want to know  what is wrong"

As soon they finished the day's work the admiral and battleship headed over to the summoning area
