Yokosuka Naval Base :

During the war several naval bases became inseparably associated with the ship girls not surprising they are the main ship girl bases after all, bases like Yokosuka, Wilhelmshaven, Norfolk and a others became the main control centers for the various ship girl fleets. And in his office was a Japanese man in his late 30's to early 40's of average height and build wearing an Admiral uniform of the Maritime Self Defense Force of japan he was Admiral Goto. Like with most admirals in this war he was promoted to his rank fairly quickly due to the heavy losses sustained in the first few days of the conflict and had to adapt to technologies of the previous generation.  

"ugh what am I gonna do" sighed Goto

"admiral"  went his secretary oyodo 

"oyodo what am I going to do our resources are being stretched thin and we can barely get more supplies past the abyssals " mumbled oyodo

"well admiral I heard admiral Takeda's forces are managing to get more and more supplies into japan as we speak" said oyodo

"yes I heard and have you also heard the rumors" said Goto

" yes, honestly I'm not sure if they are true or not but Admiral takeda said he'll be sending over 4 of his best girls over to Yokosuka for the time being" oyodo hands him their files

Goto takes the file folders and takes a brief look and raises an eyebrow at what he reads

"well now this is interesting and they are being sent here correct"

" yes sir in fact I came here to confirm their arrival with you"

"yes I was informed while I was skeptical at first now things have become a bit more interesting, when will they arrive" asked Goto

"in roughly 30 minutes sir"

"well we better go and greet them"

Goto hits a button attached to an speaker

[ Attention all girls new reinforcements are currently on their way to Yokosuka from Kure Naval Ship Yard all ship girls are to be on the pier ready to welcome them in T-minus 30 minutes ]

"oyodo I can trust you can handle all the paperwork" said Goto as he put on his admiral's cap  

"yes sir" replied oyodo with a salute

"good well time to meet these destroyers"

(30 minutes to Yokosuka)

"are we there yet" asked Chokai as she ran a hand through her snow white hair 

"no Chokai were aren't there yet" said Kirishima who's blue hair fluttered from the ocean breeze

As the DDG's made their way to their new base Kongo was staring out at the horizon and Myoko grew curious at what she was looking at

"kongo onee sama what's the matter" asked Myoko

suddenly shaken from her muse Kongo quickly regains her composure

"it's nothing Myoko I'm just thinking"

"about what exactly"

"about how the other ship girls will react to us we don't have anything in common with any of them especially other destroyers"

"don't be from what I heard they'll probably be really confused at first and then ask us a whole bunch of questions, that reminds me one of the Akatsuki sub-class of the Fubuki class destroyers is obsessed with being a real lady apparently"
