Loki POV:

I watch the human girl with amusement. She seems nice enough, but also apprehensive at the fact of having me in her car. She placed me on the side farthest from me, close to a window. This also amuses me. She must be very concerned about her vehicle.

She placed Thor, however, in the front with herself and was currently drilling him with questions.

"So your hammer is real?"

"Are there really other realms?"

"Wow! Eight others?"

"Are you immortal?"

I roll my eyes at the last one. All mortals assumed we were immortal. Darcy seemed to be endlessly curious and even turned to me hesitantly and asked, "Can you really do magic?"

I didn't answer, instead I smile a bit and point towards Thor. Very slowly, with Darcy and I both watching, Thor's blond hair turns green. Darcy chuckles quietly, not wanting to call attention to the god of thunder, who was trying to figure out the buttons in the car. She turns back to the road but keeps stealing glances at Thor's hair, trying not to snigger.

She suddenly curses just as she is pulling into a parkinglot with two large buildings. She shut off the vehicle and sighed, sounding conflicted. She shook her head and reached down into the bottom of her seat and pulled out a plastic looking rectangle. I watch her curiously as she hits a single button and the entire thing lights up, showing up with several different colored buttons. She hits a green one and puts the thing to her ear.

"Sorry guys," She says to us, grimacing, "I gotta cancel my plans real quick."

She suddenly turns towards the front of the car and speaks loudly, "Hey Stace! Um...I kind of ran into a dilema and I won't be able to make it to your double date."

Date? She keeps going, "I'm really sorry about it." pause. "Yes! Yes, and tell him I'm really, really sorry and that we can meet up some other time." another pause; longer. "Ok! Sorry again Stacey." With that she hits another button and the screen goes black again.

She opens up the door and steps out, peering back in and saying impatiently, "Come on!"

Thor gets out immediately but I hesitate. Thor gives me a glare that is obviously a command so I get out of the vehicle. I stop to look at the blue thing and ask out loud, "What is this thing called?"

Darcy turns and laughs, "It's called a car. You get in it and you ride around instead of walking."

I nod, still looking at it. Finally I turn and follow the other two where they are entering one of the doors on the building. I look around when Darcy shuts the door. We're in a small but clean "house." The room we are in has a large black box mounted on the wall. In front of the black box was a couch, something I was familiar with, along with a long side table in front of the couch. On the table was a variety of things from books, to a silver topped box much like the black one. I see a doorway that goes into what I recognize as a kitchen and another one that is just to the side of the kitchen that branches off somewhere I couldn't see.

Darcy looks around and says, "It's not much."

Thor shrugs and says, "It is fine. Me and my brother will take the living room."

My eyebrows shoot up at the unfamiliar name. I consider asking which room is the living room but I decide to wait.

I smile lazily and ask Darcy, "Do you always live in such...small...living conditions?"

She doesn't seem offended, instead she shrugs and replies, "No. This is just all I could afford for now." She grins now, "If you don't like it, you're welcome, encouraged, to find another place to stay."
