The Basement

There's a tap on my door.

"Come in!" I yell out.

"Hey babe, you ready?" Evianna comes in hoping on my bed.

"Yeah alm- what are you wearing?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, you said we were going to a bar. And yet you're wearing vans?" I said a little skeptical. "I feel over dressed now." I had decided to go with a cute dress that was just tight enough to be a bit sexy, plus heels. Like what the fuck?

"Dude, I texted you with specifics of what to wear." Evi said throwing my phone at me while walking to my closet.

" 'Yo babe! Wear that cute dark red dress with your new flannel and black Converse! It's a must! Luv you!'. " I read the message aloud, "well now I feel stupid."

"It's okay, here change fast. And pull your hair up, you look sexy with your hair pushed back." She said quoting Mean Girls.

"You're so stupid!" I laughed out pulling my hair into a high pony tail, at least my make up looked decent enough.

Where the fuck were we? She said a bar, didn't she. This was no bar, it was a warehouse of some sort.

"Are we even back in Dreeds?" I asked Evi, looking around the place.

"We are, just not the part we're used to. Look I know it looks sketchy, but trust me, it'll be fun!"

"You've been here before?" I was surprised, this was most defenetly not Evianna's type of place. Sure she loved to party, but this place looked edgy, even scary. "I don't know Evi, I'm all down to party but this place creeps me the fuck out "

The place was nothing more than a small warehouse. It had high windows and a big parking lot. There were bikers parked all around, and the line to get in hung around the building full of impatient punks and rockers. On top of the main doors, there hung a big blue neon sign, The Basement. Please, how cliché.

"It's not that bad once you're inside, I came here last week with that friend of mine, Axel. He and his band are pretty damn good." She looked at my worried face, "Just don't mess with anyone and don't look at anyone in the eye."

"Easy enough."

We climbed out of her car and walked over to the long line.

"Come, this way," said Evi.

I followed her to the front of the line. She was talking to the security all smiles, and he didn't hold them back either. God knows what they were saying; they exchanged a few words and laughs and soon we were walking inside of the warehouse bar.

"What was that about?" I asked her with a sly smile.

"Calm down, it's not like that. He's just a friend of Axel, plus poor hunk is gay," disappointment filling her voice.

I laughed, hard. There's nothing that disappointed Evianna more than a hot ass guy who was gay. There was nothing wrong with them, she just didn't like anything she couldn't have. "He's a real sweetheart too, damn bastard. I think he teases me on purpose."

I doubt it, but what ever she has to tell herself to keep sane. By now we were surrounded by hot sweaty bodies. This place wasn't so bad, it seemed more welcoming on the inside than the outside.

Evianna grabbed my hand and started walking, "don't get lost, or I'll leave your ass."

It's was dark in here, but not too dark in some sense. There was a band playing on the stage to my left. If that was Axel's band, they weren't that great. It sounded like they were trying to be rock but came off as punk. Either way, they had a pretty decent crowd swaying and cheering for them.
