Seeing her dad there scared her the feeling made her white as a ghost. Why was he there? What did he have to do with all of this? Had her mom told him?

"What's wrong mom?", asked Penelope, "Do you want to tell me something?", she said as if nothing had happened the day before.

"Sweetie, I was thinking about what you told me. And we considered you might want to tell me and your father all about it.", said her mother in a calm voice.

Penelope had her eyes focused on the distance, not knowing what reaction her father must have had when her mother told him.

With the thoughts all scattered she remembered that innocent girl her loved her father so deeply. He had showed her the function of each and every thing in the world.

That one night her father claimed to be unstable in action, meaning he was drunk. He was "unaware" of what he had done that night.

It was June 25 and it had been a busy day for Penelope and her family, her father was stressed out with her mother's complaining of every little detail. Penelope was getting ready for bed, also getting ready for her father's bed time story. He came in, almost tumbling, bumping into the drawer of Penelope's room. She had yet not finished getting ready when he was watching her, with non-father like eyes. At that moment she didn't know what was to happen. "What is the matter, daddy?", Penelope asked bewildered, "Why are you looking at me like that?". He just stared imagining a scene he only knew of.

"Shh... Baby don't be afraid I won't hurt you...", he told her. She layed on the bed thinking of nothing wrong, it was her dad. As he came closer the intensity in his eyes grew, intimidating her. The light in her eyes turned to matte, when he started to raise her night gown like he would raise the bed cover she asked, "What are you doing, daddy?".

He answered, "Don't tell anyone, anything... Not your mother or Manny, otherwise there will be bad things happening to them, okay baby?". The night was long for Penelope and time went longer even after her father had taken all the innocence from her soul...

She didn't say a word for a couple of minutes. She finally spoke and said, "I don't know what you are talking about.". Then there was a dreadful silence in the room that grew awkward by the moment. Anxiety was devouring Penelope causing her to cry and run to her room.
