Kai
I checked my hair for the seventh time in five minutes in the window of the classroom in front of us.
Sehun looked at me like I was crazy. "Stop that, it's working on my nerves."
"I don't care," I placed my backpack between my legs on the ground, tired of waiting.
"Why are you doing this anyway?" He asked. "Is there a hot girl in English class?"
"What no," I crossed my arms and leaned back against the wall. "I just want to look good. That's all."
Sehun rolled with his eyes, "yeah right."
"What?" I asked. "Why don't you believe me?"
"Hey guys," Suho interrupted. "What's up?"
"Nothing," Sehun answered shortly and turned his face away from us.
"Okay..." Suho threw his arm around my shoulder. "How's Kyungsoo?"
I saw Sehun glancing at us from the corner of my eye. "How the hell should I know?"
"Why are you guys so grumpy?" Suho looked gloomy, but his face soon turned into a smirk. "There you have him!"
He let go of me and quickly walked over to the small lad. "Kyungsoo! How are you doing?" Suho did the same with him as he did with me earlier. You could see the dark haired guy was uncomfortable and tried to push the taller guy away.
"Suho," I called him. "Leave the kid alone."
Suho just smiled and pinched Kyungsoo's cheek. "You're sitting with us again?"
Kyungsoo didn't say anything, he was just staring at the ground. He looked so helpless I walked over to them and said, "he's sitting with me."
The doe-eyed boy looked up and bit his lip, not knowing what to do or say.
"Let's go," I say as the teacher walked past us to open the door. I held Kyungsoo's sleeve and pulled him with me. Grabbing my bag before we went inside. I pushed him ahead of me to the back seats.
"So, you still have that paper I gave you?" I asked him.
Kyungsoo was watching Sehun and Suho who sat down in front of us. "What?" He looked at me like a lost deer in the lights of a car.
"The paper," I said again. "With the adres," I tried to make it more clear.
"Oh, yes." He patted his jeans pocket to show me were he had saved it.
"I have to go to someone before we can meet, so I can't be your company till later, okay?"
He nodded in understanding as he took his books out. "No problem."
I seriously was impressed by how simple it was to talk with him and how easy he talked back to me.
I didn't know what I had expected from him. Maybe I thought Kyungsoo would reject me with everything I tried. But he didn't. He talked with me and even sat next to me in class. This was going too well. I wondered how far I could take this. The teacher pulled my thoughts back to the room by asking us to get our books. I opened my bag and found out I had forgotten them. "Shit."
"What's wrong?" Kyungsoo asked me. "Did you forget your books?"
"Yes, can I look with you?"
"I didn't know you participated in class," he joked.
"Very funny," I moved my seat closer and leaned over to his side, our shoulders touching. "I don't even know where we are to be honest."
Kyungsoo chuckled and flipped through the pages to the right number.
We all looked up as someone walked through the door. Chanyeol of course.
"Sorry I'm late sir," he walked through the classroom and sat down next to Baekhyun.
The teacher stood up and watched him taking his seat. "Park Chanyeol," he started. "I don't care what reason you thought of now. I've had enough. When's your last hour?"
"No, please." Chanyeol said. "I'm busy this evening." He grinned at Baekhyun who hit him as a response. "He's free at three sir," Baek answered for him.
Chanyeol looked at him like he had just betrayed him. "Since when is your name Chanyeol, little fuck?"
"Watch your languages Park," the teacher warned him. "I see you at three then."
"I hate you Baekie," Chanyeol told the smaller lad. Which left a bigger grin on Baekhyun's face.
"Jongin," the teacher was standing next to us. "Where are your books?"
"Chilling at home, they didn't wanna come today." I looked up at him with an innocent face. "Sir," I quickly added.
"Three it is for you too Mr. Kim." The teacher walked back to his desk and wrote our names down on a paper.
"No. I can't." I protested.
"Why not?"
"I... I need to do this project with Kyungsoo here." I gestured at the guy next to me who looked up from his work. "I can't let him wait for me that long."
Suho was looking at me with a big smile. "It's true sir, if they don't get a good grade, they'll be in trouble." He tried to help.
The teacher sighed, "why doesn't this surprise me?" He asked himself. "It's the third time you forgot your books Jongin. You don't give me a choice."
"There's always a choice, sir." I tried.
He looked annoyed up from his desk, "just be there Kim."
"Damn it," I muttered. "I'll see you at five okay?" I asked Kyungsoo, who nodded.
