"Wow, I wonder when it will stop snowing," Phil said as he was looking out of the window of his apartment.

I sat on his couch, wrapped in a blanket like a cinnamon roll. I was still feeling cold from outside, and Phil had given me one of his blankets when we arrived in his apartment.

Phil turned around, his face worried when he looked at me. "You're not getting ill, are you, Dan?"

I shook my head, although I had to admit I didn't feel very well.

"Do you want a cup of tea?" he asked.

"S-sure," I answered. Phil disappeared in his kitchen and came back a minute later with two mugs. He handed me one of them, and I warmed my hands while taking a sip of the hot liquid.

"I'm so sorry," I said.

Phil looked up, a confused look on his face. "Why?" he asked.

"I just met my soulmate and now I'm laying on his couch with a blanket and a mug of tea," I said miserably. I felt a little guilty, though I didn't know exactly why. Maybe it was because I didn't like the idea of  someone I just met having to take care of me. "I don't want to bother you, or be a burden," I said, feeling awkward again. "You know what I mean?"

Phil put down his mug on the table and walked over to the couch. He sat down beside me and wrapped his arms around my body. "That's okay, Dan," he said, "You don't bother me, and you're not a burden." He smiled at me, and I felt my heart was beating like madness.

"Thank you," I whispered, and he hugged me tight. What a great feeling it was, to not feel lonely.
