We stood in the middle of a field where the shiny crimson Cornucopia sat still surrounded by a few dead Tributes with busy Hovercrafts picking them up with its claws one by one.

"So many fallen," Avalon whispered in my ear. She clutched on to the black rain coat I wore and bit down on her pink lips. I could smell the heavenly scent of strawberry cream shampoo that's been infused in her hair for the past few days.

I look back at the scattered bodies. We managed to knock out most of the young weaklings. Jesslyn, Luca, Delphi, and Colton, All murdered by Ellaydra and I.

"They put up a courageous fight," I admit gripping onto her waist, eyes still gazing at the Fallen.

"What now?"

"Grab all the weapons you can carry. We'll need em'."

Avalon and I both split up and spent the next half an hour sorting through supplies and goods. She managed to snag a jacket equipped with knives of all shapes and sizes tucked into hidden compartments on the inside of the fleece. I picked up a spear and a backpack full of fruits and bottled water.

"Found it!" Ellaydra sung from a distance.

"Hush! Someone will find us!" Avalon said pushing her index finger to her mouth.

"Oops!" Ellaydra yelled slapping her hand to her mouth. She snickered. "Wouldn't want those strong powerfully skilled twelve year olds who are hiding behind those trees," she pointed to the uncanny forest where four tiny figures hid at the rear of a tree. "Waiting for us to leave so they can get some supplies and brutally kill us with their compelling weapons!"

Avalon and I opened our mouths to shut her up but were interrupted by the rustling of leaves. Then, someone stepped onto a tree branch. Avalon stood there hanging on to my sleeve, ready to run when Ellaydra let out a loud laugh.

"Look!" She hooted pointing to the trees from where we heard the sound. Four small figures, weaponless, run into the bare forest swiftly, not looking back.

"Fresh meat!" Ellaydra said attempting to snatch the spear out of my hand.

"Leave them alone, they mean us no harm." I said moving the spear back away from her reach.

"No fun!" She teased, tickling my chin.

"The sponsor gift," Avalon said reminding us about the floating parachute we saw drifting in the sky moments ago. We sent Ellaydra to go fetch it because she was the only one who had the guts to walk out into the woods.

"Here," she said tossing it to me. "It's addressed to you." The tone in her voice suggested she might have wanted the first sponsor gift in our alliance. Maybe she thought I wasn't worthy of getting anything so quickly. But apparently I was.

I untied the string to the parachute and let it sink to the ground. There was a little note attached to the metal container.

"To Mason and his alliance, from the sponsors of T-20." My face was as puzzled as everyone else's. "What do you think it is?" I asked Avalon.

"Isn't that Slade's number?" She asked.

I nodded my head.

"Well, aren't you two friends?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Not really, he's been bugging me for a while to be on his alliance with a group of older guys, I turned him down." My head dropped low.

"You turned him down to be with me be with me?" The spark in Avalon's eyes returned. I haven't seen her iris's glisten since the time we first met. Everything was perfectly magical back then. Now, we just hope for a blessing or a leap of faith. I stroked her hair and kissed her forehead. "Of course," I murmured into her ear.
