Quick Authors Note: Hey you! I hope you are enjoying the story so far, I really enjoy writing it. Sorry, my updates are kind of awkward but who cares about that now. Also, I wanted to let you know that now they have been living here for a few weeks now. I have decided to skip over all of the hospital stuff and just start it out where they are back home after time spent at the hospital. But first, it starts out with Lyra next door.

*Ding dong*

"Coming," Liz said as she came running down the stairs to answer the door. When she opened the door she came to see that it was Lyra.

"Lyra, hi."

"Hi to you too Liz, is your father home I need to speak with him?"

"No, he is still at the station. Is there anything I can do for you, maybe give him a message or something?"

"No, it's fine I'll just go to the station and ask." Once she was done she started to walk off, then turned around to ask her a favor.

"Actually could you watch Kai for me? It's a long story."

"Uh sure, but I have the twins with my right now."

"That's fine just tell them not to jump on or hug him right now. He will be able to answer the door just give him some time. Thank you, Elizabeth." Then Lyra started to walk away. After she was gone Liz grouped up the kids and headed next door. There was a sign right above the doorbell that read, 'Doorbell does not work. Please knock on the door and have patience, someone will answer unless we aren't home.'

*Knock knock knock.* After she knocked she waited for about a minute or two then looked down at the kids.

"Alright now remember don't hug or jump on Kai, okay."

"Okay!" They replied in unison. After another minute Liz went to knock again but stopped as the door opened.

"You don't have much patience do you?" Her cheeks went really red as she noticed that the only thing on the top half of my body was gauze wrapped around my stomach area. I stared blankly at her for a while then I looked at the kids and they shrugged.

"So, do you wanna come in or are you too busy staring at my abs?" I winked at the kids then saw as Liz's face became even redder.

"No, no I wasn't-."

"Calm down I know you were looking at my bandages." We walked in and she sat down on the couch as I slowly walked into the kitchen to grab my cup of tea that had finished brewing.

"Help yourself to anything. I don't like coffee but we do have some if you would like to make it."

"Oh no, I'm fine... So Lyra told me to come watch you, why is that?" I came walking back in with my tea in one hand and my other feeling the wall as I walk. Every step was a step of torture, not as bad as being on transportation but it was torture. I stumbled every so often but not too badly.

"Hey, kids why don't you go outside in the back and play around," I said to them. They stood up and I pointed over to a door in the kitchen that led to the backyard. Once they were gone I answered her question.

"Well I don't really need anyone to watch me but Lyra doesn't want me to get hurt again. Yesterday I was taking a nap on the couch after we got back from our job interviews. I woke up after a dream I was having and fell off the couch. There must have been a shard of glass or something somewhere because when I got up I was bleeding pretty badly from my stomach region and had to be rushed to the hospital. I'm fine it just hurts a little." She watched as I struggled to sit down and was about to get up but I held out my hand to stop her. Once I was in the chair there was a moment of silence, then the phone started to ring. I was about to get up but Liz rushed over to the phone.
