I walk into my math class and see my best friend Ryan sitting in the seat beside mine, where she usually sits. But, as I sit down, I notice she is being extremely quiet. I look at her and she avoids my eyes. I look around me as I slide closer to her. She doesn't move.
"Ryan, what's wrong? You okay?" I ask in a whisper.
She doesn't say anything she just pulls out her phone and then I feel mine vibrate. I pull my phone out as well and read her text.
-We need to talk. Come to my house tonight.-
This makes me nervous. Does she know? Does Ryan know that I love her? That I've been struggling with being around her because its so hard not to pull her to me. I guess well see. I look at her, but again she avoids my eyes. Ryan's never acted like this.I sit in my last class, and I can't pay attention to Mrs. Polely. I just, I can't. All I can think of is Ryan, and why she's been acting off all day. She didn't even eat lunch. She just sat there, and she wouldn't talk to me. As the bell rings, I slowly get up and grab my bag. I sling it over my shoulder and walk towards my car. So I need to call my mom. I dial her number.
"What?!" She yells. Of course.
"I'm going to Ryans. I'll be late coming home" I whisper.
"Whatever" she says and hangs up. Honestly, I don't know why I try.
I get into my car and drive to Ryan's. I bought and paid for my own car my freshman year of highschool. I'm officially a senior. I met Ryan at a baseball game, we both were rooting for the same team. That day and ever since then, we've been close. As I pull in Ryan's driveway, I notice that her parents cars are gone. I park, and walk slowly to her front door. As I open it, I notice that her bedroom light is on. I quietly make my way in her room. I hear sniffles, and it worries me.
"Ry?" I say. "Where are you?"
"In here Linds" she calls. I hear the break in her voice and I see her, her eyes swollen. She looks as though she's been crying for hours. I wipe her cheeks and she hugs me tight. "I need to tell you something Lindsey. But, please don't hate me".
"I could never hate you". I say.
"Lindsey ..I love you" she whispers against my neck.
"I know, and I love you to Ry, now what's going on..?" I pull away and look her in the eyes.
"No...Lindsey...I love you...more than a friend..." She looks away from me. And I feel my heart flutter. I hope she's not lying.
"Ry..." I pull her lips to mine. As I place my hands on either side of her face, I feel her hands slip around my waist. I pull back just a tad. "I love you too...more than a friend."
She doesn't give me time to say anything else, she pulls my lips back to hers. I run my fingers through her hair. This, this is what I've been wanting. Her. Just her. Her lips on mine. The feeling it would give me. The sway, and the anticipation of not wanting to stop. I keep pulling her closer. Wanting her more.
I pull back. "You're the first girl I've ever fell in love with Ry. But, I knew. I knew I loved you a long time ago. I was just scared you'd hate me as well. I'm sorry I didn't tell you" I say smiling at her. She runs her finger over my lips. It sends my stomach reeling.
"Linds, don't make excuses. Its okay, you're the first girl I've ever loved as well. Were each others firsts."**Please don't forget to vote! And please leave comments, if you want!**
