My first day of getting settled in was amazing, but I knew it wouldn't all be like this. But I still hoped and crossed my fingers that it would be.

Our room looked great, mind blowing even. Do you wanna know what else was mind blowing? That Brandon came to this school. I wonder who his parents were.. did they know mine? They had to. There was no way that this was a coincidence.

Yesterday I spent about 25 dollars of the 500 that my family gave me. Jades mom is a huge movie actor so she insisted on paying for it.

I opened my door, like a creep, peeked my head through it. I didn't want him to see me. Slowly but surely I made my way down to the cafeteria to get something out of the vending machine. We really needed to go grocery shopping. I slid in a 5 dollar bill into the machine and got a protein bar and a Pepsi. At this moment I felt someone's eyes burning into the back of my neck. I could feel them looking at me. I looked into the corner of my eye for a quick glace but they were directly behind me. I turned around, without a doubt it was Brandon. Of course, who else would it have been?

"Can we sit on that bench and talk for a minute?" He asked

"Sure thing, Brandon. What's going on?" I questioned

"Well.. I wasn't going to tell you. I wanted my feelings to go away over the summer. They obviously did not." He froze but continued on," I did not want to ruin or friendship but I had to tell you. So I can move on.."

"Don't move on, Brandon." I said, but I didn't mean it. The words fell right out of my mouth

"W-what? I love you.. I don't want to move on but if you don't feel the same there is no point in waiting." Its like the words just fell out of his mouth too.. I doubt he meant to say that.

"Who said I didn't feel the same way?" I asked

"Kimber did." I took a deep breath

"Oh god," I took a deep breath,"we were sharing stories, secrets and news that we had. Everyone was talking about there relationship or their crushes.. I couldn't risk them spilling to you. Well.. they obviously did but the wrong information. I told them I liked Adam because I wasn't ready to tell you yet."

"You weren't ready to tell me you like Adam? We are best friends Kayla.." He looked away.. kind of ashamed.

"You don't understand.. I don't like Adam. I love you.. I have since 6th grade." He looked at me with eyes I had never seen from him. They were so bright and loving.

We were sitting as we should have been on any given day during lunch, with our faces turned forward. He turned his body so that he had a leg on each side of the bench. He said "I have loved you since 5th." I smiled. He pulled me into a hug, forcing my body the same way.

My hands held on his cheeks, I kissed him.
