Confusion

It's been two days since the accident. The boys have been taking turns watching over Kai. He is never alone. Kyungsoo is there the most and the longest. He is always talking to Kai and making sure he's comfortable. A couple of days later, Kyungsoo was at Kai bedside. He lays his head on the bed and begins to sing. Halfway into the song, Kai open his eyes.

"Kyungie," he barely says.
Kyungsoo looks up and see Kai smiling at him. Kyungsoo immediately calls for the doctor who rushes in and examines Kai. Kyungsoo is on the phone with the other members informing them of the situation. The other members arrive, waiting until the doctor finishes. The doctor comes out tells everyone that Kai is doing fine. It appears he's suffered no brain damage, but has no memory of the last few weeks. The doctor tells the boys, that Kai needs his rest, and would not be allowed to have visitors until tomorrow. The boys complain. The doctor said he would allow one visitor and that Kai was asking for Kyungsoo. The boys record a message for Kai. Kyungsoo goes in to see him.
Kyungsoo walks over and sit down beside Kai. Kai, smiling big, happy to see Kyungsoo, having no recall of their break up.
"Kyungie! I'm so glad you're here! How long do I have to be in this hospital?"
"I think the doctor said a couple of days."
"What's wrong?" Kai ask, noticing a troubling look on Kyungsoo face.

"What's wrong?! You've been in a coma for two days, you nearly died and it's all because of me!" Kyungsoo said, forgetting for a moment that Kai doesn't remember

"What do you mean, it's all because of you?"

"Uh, I mean I wasn't there to take care of you."

"Well, you're here now. Don't worry I'm never leaving you! I can't wait to get back to the dorm. I just want to put everything behind me and move on."

Kyungsoo is surprised by Kai. He feels like he is seeing the Kai he fell for.

-on the way to the dorm-

Baekhyun and Lay decided to celebrate Kai waking from the coma. Lay has always had a crush on Baekhyun, but was too shy to tell him. They decided no alcohol, especially after what happened with Kai. Instead they go to a Café. They both order hot cocoa. They didn't want anything to keep them up tonight. They've lost enough sleep. The Café is quiet. They decide to sit in the back booth for some privacy.

Baekhyun takes a sip of his cocoa. "Hmm, this is so good!"
Lay feeling a little nervous, takes a sip and nods.
"I am so glad that Kai is going to be ok! Kyungsoo was out of his mind with worry."
Lay continues to sip his cocoa without speaking.
"Lay! Hey, what's wrong? You're acting a little weird."
"It's nothing" Lay replies taking another sip.
"You're acting like you like me."
Lay spits out his cocoa onto the table at Baekhyun statement.
"I am so sorry!" As Lay is wiping up his mess.
Baekhyun looks down at his cup of cocoa and before he takes a sip he said, "so you do like me?" Looking up at a shocked Lay, sitting there, with foam on his top lip. Baekhyun slides close to Lay, leans in, and wipe the foam off his mouth.
Baekhyun slides back over. "Maybe you don't like me."

Before Lay could say anything, Baekhyun feeling a little embarrassed and disappointed, get up from the table and walk toward the door. Lay pays for the drinks and follow. The car ride back was filled with silence. Lay who drove, occasionally glances at Baekhyun, regretting not speaking up when he had the chance. They arrive at the dorm. Baekhyun sits in the car for a few seconds, waiting on a response from Lay. Lay still doesn't say anything. Baekhyun goes in the dorm throwing his hands up and cusses. Lay watches as a upset Baekhyun goes inside. Baekhyun goes quickly to his room, closing the door. A few minutes later, there's a knock on the door. Baekhyun open the door and Lay is standing in front of him.
"I do like you!" Lay told Baekhyun, grabbing his arms and kiss him on the lips and walks back to his room.
Baekhyun surprised but pleased, touches his mouth and smile, "he does like me."
