Chapter 40

Zayn’s POV

I looked at everyone as they nodded, then down at Katie. She looked up at me and gave me a small smile while nodding. I lightly pushed her away getting off of the hood. I held her hand in mine while we all walked towards the wood. I tighten my grip on her hand, telling her it’s alright.

“Can you stop worrying about me Zayn, I’m getting use to it.” I looked at down at Katie, she gave me a smile before getting on her toes and pecking me.

“You can read minds, too?”  I thought seeing if she heard me. I looked at her while she nodded her head. I moved a branch up letting both of us walk through. I saw that everyone went their separate ways, leaving Katie and I by ourselves.

“Yes I can and some of this thoughts are not pretty Zayn, why does the bad or nasty thing happen to me?” she asked pouting. I chuckled and hugged her from behind laying my chin on her shoulder. I kissed her neck while she walked through the wood moving and dodging things.

“ I don’t know but you should be a bit happy that you have more powers then we do, its not everyday that you have more than one power” I said standing in front of her holding her hands.

“I’m just a bit but I don’t like hearing thing that are not good for me too hear” she whined making chuckle and kiss her. She pulled away after a few seconds and looked behind me.

“Don’t move, there’s something behind you” I slowly nodded and watched her eyes go red and her fangs growing. She slowly let go of my hands ad walked towards it. I turned around watching her moved towards the animal. She stopped when it looked up and around before it went back to eating.

She took about three more steps before jumping onto it and snapping its neck. She looked up at me. Her eyes going a darker red. She smiled and quickly jumped onto me hugging me. I laughed and hugged her back as tightly. Her first hunt. I laughed while spinning her around; I looked at her and kissed her.

“You did great, love” I smile at her

“”I hope I did and can we…. You know-“

“Yeah” I said cutting her off. I placed her down and walked with her towards the animal, a deer. Nice catch. I heard her giggle making me lightly push her. When we got by the animal she bent down and crossed her legs. I looked down at her with my eyebrows creased together. She looked up at me, tilting her head to the side a bit.

“What do we do now, Zayn?” she asked looking back at the animal on the floor. I chuckled at her innocence. I picked her up, making her squeal and threw her onto my back. I picked up the animal, holding it away at arm length.

“We drink from it but I’m taking you to a place after we do to where I found before you came back by looking for you.” I told her glancing at her, to give me a answer. She bit into it and drinking before giving it to me. She nodded before wrapping her arms around my neck. I made sure everything was good before running and dodging trees, branches and rocks.

“We are here,” I stated. The hill that was filled with grass, green alive grass. In the open with trees surrounding it and up the sky that you could just stare at. She slowly got of me, walking into the empty space in front of the both of us. I slowly followed her and sat down beside her, face her.

“It’s beautiful, Zayn” she whispered lying down on her back looking at the sky. I smiled and moved to hover over her.

“Well I’m glad you like,” I said. I moved a little closer, my lips it hovering over hers. I lend down kissing her with everything I had inside me. Our lips moving in sync. I started to sit up bring her with me. She straddled my waist, making me bring her closer then before.
