The Night Shift

3. The Night Shift \*\*\

• Jax's POV •

It was about 3:30 in the morning when I got to warm, so I opened my window to see a limping Hazel, then she feel in the sidewalk. I sigh and get up , grabbing a sweatshirt and running out towards her.
"What the hell happened?" I yell, about 7 feet away from her
" I went to the bar, then a bar fight" She said as she stands back up
"What about Abby?" I ask
"Oh, she's fine, she left before the bar fight" She leans against me for support "Can I see that?" She points to my sweatshirt 
"Yeah" I hand it to her as she puts it on, wiping the dry blood off around her mouth "Thanks"
"No problem, now lets get you home" I say as I lower down, and she hops on my back
"Shit" I hear Hazel whisper "I lost my key" One of her hands slides into one of her pockets and comes back to my shoulder

"Where was it last?" I ask
"I don't know!" She said frustrated "Can I stay with you till I find my key or till my dad comes back?"
"Sure" I sigh, walking over to my house, which thankfully it wasn't to far. As I reach the steps I hear a faint snoring sound, and I look at Hazel and she's sound asleep, I opening the door to see my mom tapping her foot, which is covered by her winky face emoji slippers, what a dork.
"What were-ITS YOUR GIRLFRIEND!" She yells/fangirls/squeals
"She lost her key to her house, and she has to wait till her dad comes home, which will hopefully be tomorrow" I said as I walk past her and straight to my room and I set Hazel on my bed and tuck her in... kinda, I don't know how to do that shit. 

I walk towards the door, then out and close it "Jax! You go sleep with your girlfriend!" My mom whisper yells
"Shes not my girlfriend, I like Harper, Hazel and I are just friends" I whisper
"Come on! Can't my little nerd get a girlfriend! Oops, I called my own son a nerd, sorry" She whispers
"I'm going to the guest room to sleep, I have school in four hours" I yawn, walking across the hall into the guest room. I take off my shirt and change into a pair of sweatpants I grabbed and climbed into the bed and fall asleep 

*TWO HOURS LATER*

"JAX!" A familiar voice yells
"What?" I croak
"I need to borrow some clothes for school" Hazel's head pops up in my vision
"What time is it?" I ask, my voice still horse
"6:26, now where are your cloths?" She asks

"Hold on" I said as I get up and walk to my room, Hazel following me like a dog, then I open my closet and pull out to shirts, one a band shirt, Falling In Reverse one in fact, and a tokyo ghoul shirt, I hold them both up, and Hazel grabs the band one
"Now pants?" She asks, I shuffle towards the dresser and hand her a pair of my old black jeans that were weathered out. 
"Thanks" She says as she starts to take off her shirt and puts on the newer on, then she looks at me, and down at my torso "for a nerd, you're fit" She smiles and winks, I decide to put my shirt on and grab a pair on my newer blue jeans and walk to the guest room to finish dressing.
About three minutes we meet in the bathroom and Hazel uses my comb, and some of my mouthwash, and I just brush my teeth and grab some of my axe and spray a little on me, then I feel a small hand touch me hand then grab the axe out of my hand, Hazel sprays some on herself
"Thanks" She smiles "How old were you when you got these jeans? There like skinny jeans on me!"
"I got them about three years ago?"I smile as we walk out of the bathroom, getting our shoes on, and luckily shes wearing her shoes she wore yesterday, and I just put on a pair of white converse 
"Come on, I'll drive us to school, unless, you know, want to skip school" She chimes 
"I've never skipped school" I said truthfully 
"Wow, we are definitely skipping school now, so bring your wallet" She laughs, and I just smile worried
"Okay, well lets go?" I ask, as we walk downstairs and I grab my coat, which has my wallet
"Hold on, let me go get my bag" She says as she runs upstairs and comes back down wit a smallish backpack and pulls out a key "We're riding my motorcycle"
"Okay?" I said as we walk out the door and over to her driveway. "Wait, yo lost the key to your house, but you still have the key to your bike thing?"
"Yeah? Just hop on" He says as she swings her leg over the bike, sitting down. I do the same "You ready?" She yells as she starts the engine 
"Yeah" I yell back 
"Lets ride!" She says as we pull out of her driveway, me holding on around her waist as we speed down the road towards I think the mall,
