"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."

- JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.

It had been busy day for Twilight Sparkle as she gazed out the window. She had been called to Canterlot for a meeting with the Princesses, which had taken many hours. Now Luna was slowly rising the moon. The silhouette of the princess of the night could be seen, standing solemnly, from Twlight's window.
It was far to late to go back home, to Ponyville, so the princesses had set up a room for Twilight.
It really wasn't much different from the last time she stayed in a room at the castle. Of course, it could have been the very same one. She wouldn't know, for all guest rooms in the castle were hard to tell apart.
One thing Twilight did know for certain was that she was exhausted.
And lonely.
Spike hadn't come with her this time, so the room was quiet and eerie. Espeically with the daylight fading away.
But because Twilight couldn't ignore her exhaustion one minute longer, she collasped on her four poster bed, and fell into slumber.

She was then running through caves of blue, black, and grey rock. She heard a mocking laughter in the backround and cries for help. What in Equestria was going on?!
Twilight then tripped and fell, and fell, and fell, and fell... the darkness surrounding for all eternity. Then she was standing on floor, and she knew, she just knew, that there was a mirror in front of her. She looked up into her reflection and saw...

Twilight woke up.
What the hay?! Why couldn't she just look into the mirror? Why did she want to look into it? Why was it even so important to her in the dream?
The dream.
Twilight pulled the blankets up higher. She had had that same dream, every night, for the past month. It disturbed her sleep every night with it's torment, and the mirror Twilight could never look into, for she woke up when she tried.
There was no avoiding it any longer.
She needed to talk to Princess Luna.

Orion: Sorry if this chapter seems short! I'll try to make them longer in the future. Anyways... I hope you're enjoying it. Meow.
