Anger is never without a reason, seldom with a good one
-Benjamin Franklin-------
Past..
11th November, 2010"Your eye is bruised!"
"I know"
"Your lip has a cut."
"I know"
"Your head is busted, Zee!"
"I- what!" I groaned, to which the kids around us stared at me like I was some sort of lunatic. Not really but they were close
I heaved my bag pack on the shelf above my head before flopping on the seat next to Saph while I pulled at the hoodie which had successfully provided me an escape without being spotted
"Yeah. It's b-" Abruptly she halted whatever she was going to say next, obviously realising her mistake, but my hand had already flown towards my forehead, patting it cautiously until I felt the stickiness cling onto my finger
Lightheaded, I brought my hand in front of me, feeling the spaghettis I had for lunch crawling up
"Bleeding" I finished, suddenly dizzy.
"Zee! You alright?" I closed my head and leaned my head on Saph's shoulder whilst inhaling deeply. She started patting my head with a rhythm
"It's doesn't look that bad though...It isn't even bleeding anymore. Yeah..I hope it's not deep, I-I mean I know it is not deep. Not something skin ointment can't heal." I opened my eyes to see her waving her hands around in that 'pfft. No biggie' way.
I rolled my eyes at her words that were meant to soothe me. The sight of blood always made me dizzy and she knew that . Nonetheless, She has always been a sucker when it comes to consoling
I didn't mind it since we were both alike in that matter. As a matter of fact, we were alike like a lot.
We stayed quiet for a while until Saph finally decides to cut the heavy silence
"You know, you shouldn't jump into a fight whenever someone calls you names. Not everything they say is true. you just need to believe in yourself and let them spew whatever rubbish they're making up."
I was taken back by her thoughtful speech. Well the news about the fight had travelled like a wildfire. Was it on bbc too? Was I famous, now? Why isn't anyone asking for my autograph?
I realised the bus was almost filled and any second the vehicle beneath us will be in motion. I also noticed the disgusted faces some of my disgusting class mates made at my appearance. Luckily, not a cell of my brain cared about it
"Aww. My baby is all grown up now. Do you see that? I'm a proud mama!" I gestured around for my school fellows to look at Saph as I mimicked in what I hoped was a British accent
She swatted my hand away and glared at me, her pale cheeks turning scarlet as she miserably avoided the audience I had gathered
"Oh c'mon, sappy. You were the one going all wise on me"
She thought I picked a fight with Patsy Miller because she called me a 'name'. That was so false but I wasn't planning on telling her the real reason either or else she would go ballistic on me
