Chapter9- Heartbroken both ways

* Kayla's POV *

So today Alex has been acting weird. Like he is happy and then nervous every minute the day goes by. I don't know why and he won't tell me.

Me and Alex have been walking all day and won't let me go inside the house. I have been thinking to long I didn't even notice Alex stopped.

"Why you stop, what's wrong?" I asked

"Madison I umm need to ask you something." He stated and then checked his watch like he has been doing all day.

"Okay ask me what's so bad about it?" I asked frustrated

"It's not bad it's just umm would you like to go on a date with me?" I was surprised but also over happy.

"OH MY REA- I mean sure yeah." I tried to play it cool but it was to late. Alex chuckled and I felt embarrassed.

"Can we just go to the house?" I asked innocently

He checked his watch and then said "Yeah we can." He said

"What time is it?" I asked

"8:00." He answered. "Why did you keep me out all day." I laughed

"Oh you will find out." What did he mean. I guess I will have to find out.

Once we got back I rushed in cause it was really cold and I just had took a shower.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone screamed and I jumped as the lights turned on.

I looked around and then said "You did this for me." I asked astonish

"Yeah cause we thought that since no one celebrated your birthday we would do it." My brother stated and everyone nodded. Everyone was here and by everyone I meant the pack and I didn't even meet them yet.

It was now 10:00 and that's when a girl showed up. I sniffed the air and it was a rogue she smelt familiar like I knew her. I turned around in shock I haven't seen her in years.

"Miss me." She said

"Rebecca, what are you doing here."

"I know why your parents died cause they killed themselves cause look at you your such a disgrace." She spat

"Your wrong they died in a hurricane."
I tried to state confidently but I failed cause my voice cracked.

You see Rebecca was my best friends always there for me but after her mate rejected her she changed. She knows everything.

"What is this a pity party." She laughed evilly

"No but I think it's best you go." Alex said

"Oh Alpha, shut up you mutt." She growled

Alex growled but I shushed him.

"Your family hates you and your date was right you'll never have a mate cause no one could love you." She smirked

That's when I laughed. It was cold and harsh. It was the other side of me I hated but it just comes and I can't stop it.

I felt my claws come out. They felt like knives in to me and that's what other people said. Rebecca knows not to mess with me cause I can change like this last time she did she knew what the consequences were.

She gulped and her expression changed to nervousness and scared while my was cold and hateful.

I walked near her with small predator steps while she took ones back. My claws dung into the wooden table and it made a horrible screeching noise. That's when I shifted and ran at her in full speed. She seemed like she was about to piss. I then turned into a human and said " I do have a mate and at least my didn't leave me." I barked at her in disgust.

It was like a switch that I turned on and she was cold again like that night.

"Oh really cause yours cheated with me, why don't you ask him how he was moaning and groaning." She was grinning evilly

I broke, like my heart was shattered into millions of pieces. I looked at Alex and he had pleading eyes and asked "You don't believe her do you?"

I didn't know what to believe. He was my mate and he probably had no feelings for me but I did I was falling for him slowly and this event ruined it.

"I don't know." I said tears running down my face.

"Please don't cry I swear to god I didn't." He tried to touch my cheek but I dodged it.

"Don't." I spat in disgust and ran. While I was running I shifted and ran into the woods.

But before I left to go in the woods I wrote a letter and grab my one from earlier and stuffed it into my pocket.

* Alex's POV *

"I don't even know you, why you lie?" I asked angry but she didn't answer instead she said "I know." And smirked.

In one smooth move I slit her throat and ripped her head off. I ran in the forest and shifted while running.

* Kayla's POV *

While I was running something jumped and tackled me. It was a rogue and I could tell just by the look in its eyes.

He was beating me in so many ways but soon stopped when he saw I wasn't fighting.

"Please, kill me." I whispered while pleading. It looked confused but slit my throat. I couldn't breath it was hard but I embraced it. All the pain would soon be gone for good.

"Thank you." I whispered and then the wolf bashed my head enough to knock me out and I let the darkness consume me.

* Alex's POV *

While I was running I stopped cause I heard a growl but that soon stopped.

"Please, kill me." I heard a whisper but it was hard but with my alpha hearing and wolf hearing I heard it. Just seconds after I heard ragged breathing. I felt some pain in my throat. I sniffed the air as the wind blew and smiled my mate mixed with a rouge and blood. I was ferocious and I took off running as fast as lightning.

"Thank you." I hear Kayla say. She was leaving me cause of a lie. I am glad I killed Rebecca and soon that rouge would have the same fate. Just then I saw that rouge and attacked it.

I contacted my pack Doctor to get here and beta and warriors.

I was crying while holding her and doing CPR.

"Please stay please I need you." I pleaded

I was lost that I didn't even notice that they arrived.

"Get her to the hospital." I barked the doctor named Mr. Roberts looked like he wanted to say 'she was dead I'm so sorry' but did. Her brother was crying.

She might be dead now. How was I going to have pups or be happy. I wanted her no I needed her. I wanted unconditionally love, I waited so long and now I got the chance someone had to ruin it.

Well since this might be goodbye Kayla, just know I love you.
