"so you haven't talked to ice princess all weekend?" nate asked john while they both sat in john's room. nate tossed the basketball he was holding in the air and caught it. 

"nope." swazz shook his head, "i still don't think she trusts me."

skate snorted, "why would she?" john rolled his eyes. "aye where's your mom?"

john tensed up. he slightly coughed. "uh, think she's out getting groceries." he lied. she was really at a doctors appointment. he still wasn't ready to tell his friends- he wasn't sure if he wanted to.

nate shrugged it off, continuing to toss the ball in the air.  his phone then made a noise and swazz watched him as he pulled it out. 

"aye, scott's girlfriend is throwing him a surprise birthday party tonight." nate said, looking up at swazz. 

"lana?" he asked. 

"nah, they broke up because she was being a hoe."

"isn't she the one you fucked?" swazz tilted his head. 

"exactly." nate shrugged and swazz rolled his eyes. "but this is  his new girlfriend, natalie. you tryna go?"

john shrugged, "yeah sure. i don't have anything to do."

"alright, let me just invite a few more people...." nate said as he thumbs twiddled over the screen. 

"but isn't this scott's party?" john questioned. 

"i know his girlfriend. lame people everywhere," he looked out the corner of his eyes. "trust me, i'm doing scott and everyone a favor here."

"i just got a party invite from nate maloley." charlotte said, staring at her phone. "it's a party invite."

"wait," jordyn furrowed here eyebrows. "why do you have nate's number?"

charlotte shrugged, "i've had it since freshman year." cara and jordyn both exchanged glances. "anyway, looks like scott's girlfriend is throwing him a party."

"lana?" jordyn questioned. 

"no," charlotte shook her head. "they broke up."

"aw what?!" cara frowned. "they were so cute, what happened?"

"apparently she had sex with someone else." charlotte informed with a shrug. she put her phone down and looked up at her girls. "so are we going?"

"i don't know...." cara shrugged, "yanno me and parties don't mix that well."

"that's because boys are always all over you at parties." charlotte rolled her eyes. "must be hard."

cara gave here a look and shook her head afterwards. "and you guys know i don't like it."

charlotte huffed, looking at jordyn. "will you go?"

"sure. i have nothing to do." jordyn shrugged. 

"so i'm going to be home alone tonight?" cara scoffed, "great."

"then come!" charlotte pleaded. "please, car, it's gonna be fun but not as much fun without you."

"nice save..." jordyn whispered to charlotte.

"i try." she smirked, secretly fist bumping each other when they saw cara about to give up.

"fine." she agreed, giving in.

swazz and nate actually arrived late to the party (( wink wink )) because nate took long getting ready and not to mention the party was at a cabin in the woods so it was quite a drive.
