Chapter 11. Battle Part 2

Aiden's POV

I ran frantically through the castle trying to find George and Fred. I ducked around corners as blasts came from all angles. I ran up one of the flights of stairs and at the top I found George, Fred, and Ginny all fighting together against Death Eaters on all sides of them. I saw Ginny get disarmed and the Death Eater Smirked and was just about to lift his wand when I shouted behind him.

"Hey, meathead!" I yelled and he turned to look at me. "Reducto!" I yelled and sent him flying backwards and over the railing. I picked up Ginny's wand that was at my feet and handed it to her. I saw Fred and George finish off the Death Eaters they were fighting and they both turned to me I saw them both smile as George ran over to me and pulled me into a hug. We pulled away quickly as more Death Eaters surrounded us. 

We fought our way through them and made our way down the stairs. I heard Fred yell behind me and I turned away from the Death Eater I was fighting to see him on the ground with one right in front of him. As quickly as I could I cast my saving spell on him just as the green flash came from the Death Eaters wand and my burst of blue energy got there just before the green one. I turned back to my Death Eater and took care of him. I looked back and saw George so I gave him a quick smile to let him know I was alright... Big mistake. I saw George begin to smile back but then the slight happiness on his face turned to fear as I felt a sharp pain in my side and I was blasted down a corridor and hit my head on a wall on the other end. I heard the faint scream of someone yelling 'NO' and everything went black.

George's POV

I watched as Aiden turned around and smiled at me letting me know she was fine. I went to smile back when I saw a Death Eater next to her. I tried to yell or attack him but everything went too fast. One second she was standing there, the next her face was contorted in pain and she was blasted away and out of my sight. 

"NO!" I screamed and began to attack the Death Eater I fought with all my might but soon found myself on the ground, up against the wall, wand out of  reach, with a Death Eater above me about to kill me. 

All of a sudden, I heard a terrible voice in my head speak. "You have fought valiantly, but in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I, therefore, command my forces to retreat. In their absence dispose of your dead with dignity," It said. I looked up at the Death Eater and realized that he was no longer there. I stood, grabbed my wand and ran off to find Aiden. I ran around a corner to where I last saw her but instead of her I found the limp body of my own twin brother laying on the ground, lifeless.I fell to my knees beside him.

"No!" I yelled and cried into his side. "Why!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I then grabbed his arms and started to drag his body all the way to the Great Hall. I screamed and yelled the entire way. I guess someone heard me because when I was 10 feet away the doors slammed open and Remus and Tonks ran out. When they saw me with Fred's body Tonks stopped in her stacks and held a hand to her mouth in shock. Remus, on the other hand, ran to my side and helped me carry Fred's body. I found my family just after and laid him down next to them. Once again I fell no my knees next to his body and cried into his chest.

"Where's Aiden?" I heard Remus ask a few minutes later. I shook my head and cried louder. About ten minutes after that I stood and looked at Remus and Tonks.

"I-I watched her get h-hit. I couldn't f-find the body..." I trailed off and my Mum pulled me into a hug. I grabbed her tight and cried into her shoulder. Not only did I lose my twin brother, my other half, but I also lost the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I wish Voldemort had taken five more minutes with that message and I would be dead with them too. This thought only made me cry harder. Then I looked to the side and saw Ron, Harry, and Hermione walk through the door. Ron saw us and ran over immediately. He saw Fred and kneeled beside him. He took the place of crying on his chest that I had just occupied minutes earlier. I finally kneeled down next to Ron and pulled him into a hug. My Mum and Dad hugged Ginny between them and cried as well. Then all of a sudden I watched as Fred radiated with a blue light and sat straight up from where he was laying. He shook his head and looked around. 

"What'd I miss?" He asked. I was shocked but still tackled him in a hug. "Woah, I wasn't gone that long bro. Was I?" He asked and I let out a stifled laugh and hugged him tighter. 

"How?" I asked the question on everyone's minds as I pulled away from the hug.

"Don't know man, Death Eater was right above me and I thought I was a gonner, saw a flash of green light, then nothing. Now this..." He said sounding just as confused as the rest of us. 

"Aiden," Hermione said behind us where she had been awkwardly standing. Just the sound of her name made my stomach flip and my breath hitch. "She made that charm or spell or whatever that stops death caused by the killing curse," She stated. "Remember when she used it during the Tri-Wizzard Tournament".

"Well, I guess I got to thank her, she saved my life. Where is she?" Fred asked smiling. I let the tears flow freely from my eyes, not seeing the point of trying to hold them in anymore. I shook my head and cried harder. A look of realization crossed Fred's face and he instantly pulled me into a hug. "I thought I lost you both... but she brought you back..." I said crying on my brother's shoulder. 

About half an hour later I was still crying on my brother, although there were no more tears coming out I still felt sobs wrack my body and I shook in my brother"s arms. All of a sudden Nevil ran in the Great hall yelling. 

"They're back!" He yelled and ran back outside. We all stood and followed. As we made our way outside I saw all of the Death Eaters left along with Voldemort. They also had Hagrid tied with ropes and he was carrying a limp body.

"Who's that Hagrid's carrying?" Ginny asked with Dad next to her. "Neville, who is it?" She asked more frantically. 

"Harry Potter... is dead!" Voldemort said happily and Ginny ran forward.

"No!" She screamed. "No!" She screamed again as Dad held her back.

"Silence!" Voldemort said. "Stupid girl. Harry Potter is dead. From this day forth, you put your faith in me," He said and turned to his followers. "Harry Potter is dead!" He said and they all laughed. "And now is the time to declare yourself, come forward and join us... or die".

"Draco!" I heard Lucious Malfoy yell for his son. 

"Draco, come," His mother tried and Draco reluctantly walked across and to them.

"Ah, well done Draco, well done," Voldemort said as he walked past and gave him an awkward hug. I then stared in shock as Neville began to hobble forward.

"Well, I must say I hoped for better," Voldemort said causing his followers to laugh. "And who might you be, young man?" He inquired.

"Neville Longbottom," He replied earning another round of laughter from the Death Eaters. 

"Well Neville, I'm sure we can find a place for you in our ranks..." Voldemort said.

"I'd like to say something," Neville stated.

"Well Neville, I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to hear what you have to say," Voldemort said reluctantly.

"It doesn't matter that Harry's gone," Neville started.

"Stand down Neville!" Seamus instructed.

"People die every day," Neville continued. "Friends, Family. Yeah, we lost harry tonight, but he's still with us, in here," Neville said placing his hand over his heart. "So's Aiden, Lavinder, Collin, all of them. They didn't die in vain. But you will because you're wrong. Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us. It's not over!" He said and pulled a sword from the sorting hat that he had been carrying. 

At the exact same time, Harry rolled out of Hagrid's arms and landed on his feet. He shot fire at the snake and knocked over a bunch of Death Eaters as well. He ran away and Voldemort began shooting fire at Harry as well. A bunch of Death Eaters began to flee while Voldemort along with the others started to charge at us. We all retreated back inside as they shot at us. We began battling the Death Eaters once more. I was fighting alongside my family in the Great Hall. 

All of a sudden Bellatrix was fighting Ginny when Mum stepped in and destroyed her. I started in amazement and didn't realize when a Death Eater came up behind me and placed his wand to my neck. I looked at his face and saw him smirk evilly. Then I heard the shot from a wand....
