George's POV

I heard the blast from a wand to off but I didn't feel any pain. I looked forward to see my family looking on in fear. I then felt the Death Eater behind me fall to the ground dead. I turned to see who just saved my life and I saw Aiden standing in the doorway.

Aiden's POV

I woke up laying on my back in a pile of rubble. I was alone in a corridor and had to think about how I got there. I remembered being shot and flying down the hall but nothing after that. Well, I guess nothing else happened after that. I ignored the pounding in my head and the nearly excruciating pain in my left arm as I stood and began to make my way around the castle. I fought Death Eaters on the way, it seemed that the battle was still going on. I eventually found myself at the entrance to the Great Hall.

As I looked in I saw nearly the entire Weasley family standing and looking at a Death Eater between me and them. I noticed that he had his wand up to a particular copper top's neck and I blasted him into oblivion for laying a hand on my fiancé. He turned around and looked at me and I smiled at him. He ran to me and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Ouch," I muttered into his shoulder as he practically crushed my hurt arm.

"Sorry," He said and pulled away. We eventually got rid of the rest of the death eaters and George wouldn't let me out of his sight the entire time. As a matter of fact, no one in the Weasley family would let me out of their sight, but frankly, I didn't mind. Once we finished I sat on a bench next to Goerge and the rest of the Weasleys. They explained what had happened while I was gone and Fred thanked me for saving his life.

"How are you alive?" George finally asked me. "I saw you get blasted... I thought you were dead," George said and held my hand tightly in his. I looked at all of the Weasley's expectant faces.

"I don't know, I got blasted down a corridor and got knocked out I guess. Woke up and found my way here," I stated. Then Madame Pomfrey walked to our group.

"Is everyone alright here?" She asked.

"Well actually I think my arm is messed up and I must have bruised a couple of ribs," I stated now feeling the pain that the previous adrenalin was masking. Madame Pomfrey treated me and soon I had my arm in a sling and some bandages wrapped around my torso. I still sat with George and his family until a thought popped into my head.

"I left Snape in the Shrieking Shack!" I said standing up all of a sudden. "I have to go get him".

"That traitor, why do you care what happens to him?" Seamus asked from a few feet away.

"He's not a traitor," Harry said walking in the room. Harry proceeded to tell us what he saw in Snape's memories, of Dumbledore telling him to be a double agent. That Snape didn't want to and that Dumbledore practically forced Snape to kill him. After hearing that I proceeded to go and get Snape from the Shrieking Shack with Fred and George. When we came through the door I saw Snape practically where I left him. I smiled when he saw me come through the door and he smiled back.

"Is it over?" He asked.

"Yeah, it's over," I said. With the help of the twins, we managed to get Snape back to the castle and got him some more medical treatment. I sat next to George on a bench once again. I looked up at him and smiled.

"How did I get so lucky to have you?" I asked him.

"I ask myself the same question about you every day," He said making me blush.

"Can we go home now?" I asked.

"Yeah, we can go home now".

All in all, we were ok. We not only survived an attack from the greatest evil known in the wizarding world, but we defeated it. Yes, we lost friends and family, but they will always be with us in our hearts. We will never lose them completely, a part of them lives on in us and our memories and always will.
