Chapter 4: The Search Begins

Zhion had pulled out a very old map from his pocket. It had been used many times by his previous ancestors. "Let me see!" Riley grabbed the map from Zhion's hand and looked at the map. It was a map of the Kingdom of Deloniah. "We need to travel to Deloniah." Riley gasped, "ARE YOU SERIOUS!? I HEARD THEY HAVE HUNDRED THOUSANDS OF GUARDS THERE, IT'S NOT CALLED HEROISM, IT'S CALLED DIRECT SUICIDE!" "I know, and it is the only way to save both Lenorah and your grandmother. So are you with me?" He held out his hand to Riley. She sighed and reluctantly agreed. She had no other options to save her grandmother. So, they went into the nearest farm stable at the enchanted forest. There they saw a young man, who was feeding hays to his farm horses. They approached him carefully and greeted, "Hello sir." The young man greeted back, "Hello. What brings you to my farm?" Zhion replied, "We're here to borrow a horse. We are traveling to Deloniah." The man gasped and glared at Zhion, "DELONIAH!? ARE YOU ONE OF THEIR KNIGHTS!?" Zhion replied, "No, actually, we're alongside Lenorah. It's a long story but to make it short, we're planning a surprise attack on Deloniah and rescue her grandmother." Zhion then pointed at Riley. The young man suddenly got curious, "Your face looks familiar. Would you mind telling me your name?" She replied, "Uh I'm Riley, Riley Redberry." The young man gasped and ran towards Riley and hugged her. Riley felt uncomfortable and whispered to Zhion, "PSST ZHION, GET ME OUT OF THIS HUG." But Zhion teased her, "Oh what? Is that a buzzing glitter bee? Cause I can't hear anything." Riley whispered and glared at him, "ZHION I SWEAR." Then the young man had eventually let go of Riley and joyfully said, "RILEY IT'S ME, MARCUS, MARCUS REDBERRY. YOU KNOW, YOUR BROTHER!" Riley gasped, "MARCUS?! BIG BROTHER I MISSED YOU! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THESE PAST YEARS!? DAD, MOM, BEA AND I WERE WORRIED ABOUT YOU!" Marcus replied, "It's kind of a long story actually you might get bored." Riley said, "BORED!? HOW CAN I EVER BE BORED OF YOU!? WE THOUGHT WE'D LOST YOU FOREVER!" While they siblings were busy talking, Zhion glared at Marcus, as if he and Marcus were rivals. But in what? When Marcus saw Zhion glaring at him, he stopped talking to his sister and glared back at Zhion, "Oh, you... After all these years, I'd never imagine we'd meet again." Zhion who became angrier, replied, "MORE LIKE I SHOULD BE SAYING THAT, YOU CHEATER!" The two kept arguing until Riley couldn't take much more of it and decided to stop them. She said, "STOP YOU GUYS! WHY ARE YOU BOTH FIGHTING!?" Marcus' voice echoed throughout the forest, saying, "RILEY WHY ARE YOU TRAVELING WITH THAT SORE LOSER TO DELONIAH!? FIRST OF ALL, THAT KINGDOM IS DANGEROUS, AND SECOND, THAT GUY IS GREEDY AND SELFISH IN EVERY POWER THAT CAN BE SEEN ACROSS THE PLACES IN THE KINGDOM. HE WANTS TO ACQUIRE ALL THE ELEMENTAL CRYSTAL SHARDS. The king instructed ME to have all of them, to SAVE THE WHOLE KINGDOM. BUT HE, HE ALWAYS TRIES TO STOP ME SAVE THE KINGDOM. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Zhion's eyes suddenly glowed red and he started building up fire balls on both of his hands, "Wrong with ME!? OH SO IT'S ME NOW!? ALL I EVER WANTED TO DO WAS HELP, BUT WHAT DID YOU DO, YOU ALWAYS PUSHED ME DOWN, YOU WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT YOU WERE ALWAYS BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE."
