Yoongi walked alongside Hoseok and Namjoon, nerves wracking through his entire body. They were on the way to meet Namjoon's soulmate, Jin. If their theory was correct, he would meet his own soulmate, again. He followed behind the others up a small path that led to a pale pink painted door. Namjoon knocked gently smiling encouragingly to his nervous friend. The door opened wide revealing a tall male with light brown hair, brown eyes, plump lips and broad shoulders. He was wearing a pink jumper, jeans and matching pink converse. He smiled widely at the two newcomers, "You must be Yoongi and Hoseok. Come on in. I've prepared dinner. Probably should check on it before those two idiots burn something." The three males entered. The house gave a nice warm home feeling. A deep voice echoed from a room Yoongi presumed to be the kitchen, "Uh Jin hyung the sauce is making weird bubbly noises." Jin made a face of exasperation, "Don't touch anything I'm coming." Jin motioned them to follow.
Yoongi almost let out a gasp. There he was. Jungkook. Yoongi felt his nerves build up again. He waited to see if the younger would notice him. Jin shoved Taehyung away from the stove, "Introduce yourselves while I cook." Taehyung bowed, "Hello I'm Kim Taehyung." He looked up and it seems he recognised them. His eyes widened. Not taking his eyes of them he patted Jungkook's shoulder, missing twice.
Jungkook turned and a crash filled the silent air. He bent down to pick up the shattered pieces of a plate he had been holding. He hadn't expected this. He hadn't expected him. Yoongi. To be standing in Jin's kitchen, the same kitchen as him. Which meant he was friends with Namjoon. Hoseok was there too. His heart almost deflated at the thought of having to sit across from the couple through dinner conversations. He hissed when a tinge of pain shot through his hand. Great he not only embarrassed himself by dropping a plate he had cut himself off the shards as well. A hand gently took his leading him to a sink. He looked up and inhaled sharply at his closeness. Yoongi's rough voice was soft, calming, "Careful. You should wear gloves next time when handling broken glass." Jungkook felt his cheeks heat up. He probably came off as a complete idiot. Yoongi placed a plaster that Jin handed him over the cut, "There. I never did get to apologise earlier for bumping into you and for my rudeness." Jungkook bit his lip keeping his eyes on Yoongi's hand on his, "I-It's okay. We were both distracted." Yoongi gave him small smile. Jungkook looked up to see four pairs of eyes watching in curiosity and amusement. Jin cleared his throat, "Ah well dinner is ready so please take a seat anywhere." Jungkook was surprised when Yoongi sat directly across from him, next to Jin and not next to Hoseok. Throughout the meal he would catch himself staring at the older and sometimes he would catch him staring back. Every time they would lock eyes a blush would spread across his cheeks.
Yoongi found he absolutely adored when the boy blushed because of him. When they finished Jungkook helped clean up. Someone must be out to get him because Yoongi also volunteered to help clear dishes. The atmosphere was awkward as the two set a pace of cleaning and passing dishes to dry and put away. Yoongi let out a sigh and Jungkook swore he heard him mutter a 'fuck it' before turning to face him. Jungkook's eyes widened at his next words. Yoongi was a blunt person and so got straight to the point, "So we're soulmates." Jungkook's jaw dropped, "Y-You know?" Yoongi frowned, "Wait! You know also? When?" Jungkook dropped his gaze to the floor, "When our hands touched. I felt a spark of electricity. It was confirmed when Hoseok hyung called your name." Yoongi grinded his teeth, "Why the hell didn't you say anything?" Jungkook's hands were shaking. He distracted himself by playing with the hem of his sleeves, "Well because even if we are soulmates I could never break up a relationship." Yoongi opened his mouth and closed it again. He raised an eyebrow realising the meaning, "Wait .. you think me and Hobi are dating." Jungkook shuffled on his feet, "Y-Yeah. I mean I saw how you look at him and he was making that face." Yoongi let out a chuckle, "Trust me we are not dating. Hoseok's like that with everyone. It's his personality. It seems like he's interested in your friend actually. He's my best friend, a brother to me, nothing more." Jungkook couldn't hide the wide smile when he heard this.
Yoongi was taken back at the smile. God he was so fucking beautiful and he belonged to Yoongi. He couldn't think of any reason he deserved someone so ethereal. He stepped closer, placing his hands over Jungkook's, taking the younger by surprise, "You're mine. You're my soulmate. The person I'm meant to be with. You have no idea how long I've waited for this and to find you. It feels unreal." Jungkook knew he would resemble a tomato if he could see himself. The way Yoongi had called him his made him feel fuzzy inside and complete. Yoongi let out a deep breath, "So Jungkook would you do me the honour of joining me on a date." Jungkook nodded enthusiastically. Both boys smiling at each other before continuing to clean the dishes. Now that they had found each other they could spend time together, getting to know each other. The date being a good place to start.
