The four of them met up in the morning, all pretty hungover from the eventful night they'd had before. Elodie and Porthos arrived at the Garrison accompanied by Aramis. Sylvie, Athos, D'Artagnan and Constance were already there.
"I can't believe we're saying goodbye again," Constance said. "And in exactly the same way as before."
"Well, here's my news," Athos said. "We're settling down in Paris. I'm not going to be a Musketeer again, no way, but I'll find a job and raise my child and be round to see you."
"It'll be good to have you back in Paris," said D'Artagnan.
Porthos surveyed the group of people looking at him. Aramis walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"We will see you again, my friend." He beckoned to Athos and D'Artagnan. He glanced at them all and they nodded in return knowing what was about to happen. Aramis was the first to put his good hand in the centre of the circle the four had created. He was followed by Porthos who put his on top of the Minister's, before D'Artagnan and Athos follows suit.
Aramis would be the one to say the first sentence. He had been the one in the most trouble during his imprisonment under Grimaud and they had all come through for him.
"All for one," he said, meaning every word, every letter. He wouldn't be alive if it were not for Athos, Porthos and D'Artagnan.
"And one for all," they said in unison. Porthos took Elodie's arm and walked away without looking back. Aramis sighed and watched.

I watch him go, my best friend, away to fight again. But he'll be back. I know he will. One for all. Until next time, brother.
