It's been 10 hours since the entry poll closed. I was constantly checking my email to see whether I had a response or not. But sadly, no. No response. I sighed and started watching Happy Wheels Highlights and began to munch on some popcorn.

I heard my dorm door open and close. Alexi had just gotten back from work. She worked at McDonalds, just to keep her on her feet for tuition. Me on the other hand, I work at Baskin Robins, one of the best ice cream joints in the country. Definitely above where I worked in high school. It was nice. I loved it.

I was beginning to think that maybe it was a good thing that I'm not going to get chosen for the livestream. I don't want to feel guilt ridden and feel like someone else deserved it more than me, but a ding on my computer took those thoughts away from me.

My heart began to pound, my forehead began to sweat and my stomach began to churn, as I looked at my inbox page. An email from Markiplier stood out at the top of the page. My hand flew to the mouse and clicked. The email immediately opened and I began to read.

"Hello Khalila, my name is Markiplier and... well you knew that, but I'm glad to announce that you are the lucky winner of this invitation. I knew just by your heartbreaking story in your entry letter that you had a genuinely good reason to be a part of this and no other entrance letter touched me this deeply. Losing your father is something I can strongly relate to, I lost mine to cancer a few years ago and it's something you never quite recover from, no matter how long ago it was. I feel greatly honoured to be able to have you as a guest at markiplier HQ for a couple of weeks, to learn more about you and of course for you to be a part of this livestream. I will email you printable copies of your plane tickets as soon as I can get them. Hopefully by tonight. I'm very excited to meet you. From, Mark."

I had to read it a couple of times to make sure I was reading it right. I was surprised to notice that I felt no guilt. That I felt like I actually deserved this and that I really wanted to be a part of this. I felt tears begin to stream from my eyes.

"Alexi!"
