I walked down the hall. I didn't know what to feel. I shouldn't have been so cold to Peeta. But I needed space.

I whished I could just go back to district 12. Or at least outside. We were cadged in this tribute center.

The best place I thought to go was the roof, that I discovered last year.

I sat with my legs folded looking through the transparent electric field that acted as a window. I could feel the night air and a soft breeze.

Capitol children walked with their parents on the sidewalks below. The fountain was lit up with lights, and glass skyscrapers towered over the busy nightlife.

I could never live here. In the Capitol.

I was tired and decided to go back to my room. When I headed to the door that lead to the hall off the roof a saw a figure standing in the door frame leaning against the wall.

"Who is there?" I whispered.

"Who do you think?" He said

"Finnick...?"

"Hmmm..?" The man replied.

"Finnick how long were you there?" I asked.

"Oh 5 minutes maybe......I didn't want to disturb you...." He said looking off at the glowing lights of the city.

"Well you would never disturb me....after all I've heard many people enjoy the pleasure of your company." I spoke calmly.

He looked back at me and gave me a soft smile.

"Can't sleep?" I asked.

"Something like that." He replied.

"I will be right back, stay here." I said while whisking away. I had an idea.

I went back to the penthouse and grabbed all the pillows off of the couch. I then went to my room and stripped the comforter and blankets off my bed, and gathered some more blankets from the closet, that were marked spare.

When I reached Finnick he looked confused. "Need some help there?" He asked but quickly grabbed some bedding out of my hands.

"What is this for?" He asked.

"You will see." I said spreading the blankets on the floor of the roof. I made a little nest of pillows and blankets.

I felt finnicks eyes on the back of my head. "There." I said looking up at him. "I don't like sleeping in those boxed up rooms, so now I can lay for the last few hours of my life, all comfy, and watching the city lights.

"May I?" He asked. I patted next to me and he sat down.

He stared off at the city for minutes. Just looking off at the twinkling lights. He was in deep thought. We sat there for a while

A tingly feeling arose in my stomach.  Finnick was handsome and I felt he had been flirting with me for the pass few days.  Did he like me?  The thought made my heart skip a beat. I wanted to be closer to him. He was drawing me in.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked him.

"Nothing really.....just the games life...the ocean."

Finnick pov

I wanted to tell her, that I was thinking about her, but we were just friends. She had Peeta.

"Finnick...?" She asked me.

"Hmm?"

I felt her getting closer to me. She placed her hands on my arms from behind me and leant in towards my ear.

I felt her breathe on my neck, and I felt comforted by her embrace.

"I have to ask you something." Her voice quivered. "Do you like me?" She whispered into my ear.

I turned around studying here face, and she placed her hands around my neck. Her eyes were looking at me with question... Waiting for me to answer.

I leaned in closer to her so that our lips were barely touching. I tear streamed down her face.

"What?....please don't cry." I whispered wiping her tears.

"Your killing me Finnick...do you like me....or....." I placed my lips on hers tasting her sweet warmth. We started kissing harder and I felt a race of emotions.

What was I doing? She was with Peeta. I told myself no attachments. Her lips pulled on mine. But I loved her so much. I pulled away. My lips were trembling. "I can't " I whispered as I got up and left the roof.

"Finnick....!" I heard her call after me. I kept walking, tears filled my eyes, for I left the one thing I have always dreamed of. And her cry made it agonizing.
