One more day. That's how long I have until I graduate from school. I'll never have to see anyone from another sector again. Of course, I only see people from other sectors in my morning classes, which are the core classes, and at lunch. All afternoon classes are tailored for specific sectors.
Not all of the sectors are that bad, actually. It's mostly the people from Class A sectors that I will be overjoyed to never see again. I'm not exactly friends with anyone in another Class B or C sector, but I can tolerate seeing them every day.
You're probably confused about the sectors, since to the best of my knowledge they're unique to Nuwe Hawaii, so allow me to explain. The country of Nuwe Hawaii, formerly the American state of Hawaii, is divided into thirteen sectors. I know, lucky number, right? Anyways, each sector has an ideal or concept that they value more than anything, and focus all their attention and learning on.
These sectors are divided into three informal subcategories, which are mostly used by students in the school: Class A, Class B, and Class C. Class A consists of the self-proclaimed popular people: Bellesa, Styrke, Narcizem, Rykdom, Renomée, and Pugnae. Class C consists of the social outcasts: Taide, Phantasie, Teknik, and Connaissance. Class B is somewhere in the middle. The Class B sectors are Amor, Altruisme, and Amistad.
My least favorite sector is definitely Bellesa, which values beauty. The Bellesa kids, especially the girls, are like the stereotypical stuck-up preppy kids that you find in high schools. They tend to be very vain and flirty, which is why I dislike them so much.
A close second is Styrke, which values strength. The Styrke kids tend to be athletic, and the guys are parallel to the stereotypical jock. They're brawny, cocky, and, as far as I know, stupid.
Narcizem kids value themselves above anything. Obviously, they're very self-centered and think they're much better than anyone else. It can get annoying, but I don't mind them as much as some other sectors. They're usually too busy thinking about themselves to be openly rude to students in other sectors.
Then there's Rykdom and Renomée, which I think are kind of similar. They're both like the wannabes, but they're still cool enough to be in the Class A. Rykdom values wealth, while Renomée values fame.
The last Class A sector is Pugnae. They're like the school bullies, and the only reason they're considered Class A is because it would not end well for anyone who tried to demote them to a lower Class. They're very belligerent, as they value fighting.
The Class B sectors are all really nice. They're the kind of people who are friends with everyone. It's not too surprising, really, since Amistad values friendship; Amor, love; and Altruisme, selflessness.
Then there's the Class C. We're pretty much the unpopular kids at the school.
There's Connaissance, which values knowledge. They're basically the nerds. They are all really smart, and get straight A's in every class.
There's also Teknik. As the name implies, they value Technology. Now, this may sound really cool, but in Nuwe Hawaii, Teknik is just the opposite of cool. They're considered geeks.
Another Class C sector is Phantasie. They value imagination. They're a great source of entertainment, as they're always daydreaming and never know what's going on around them. Though, that's also why they became classified a Class C sector.
Finally, there's my sector, Taide. We value art more than anything. This includes music, literature, and dance as well as the kind of art you would find in a museum. We're known as the artsy type, but I don't really care.
I actually really like my sector, despite its unpopularity. I love painting, playing the flute, dancing, you name it. I was really lucky to be placed into Taide.
