*Calum's POV*

"So you didn't take her home I see?" Ashton pokes at me laughing at my failure.

"I offered her a ride home, but.." I sigh, too embarrassed to go on.

"But what?"

"She refused.." I say defeated.

"She's not going to go for you, Cal. I wouldn't get caught up with somebody like her." Luke shrugs, 'telling me how it is.'

"Says you. You were the one flirting with her in class."

"Was not." He crosses his arms and holds his head up.

"You were too." I pout

"What am I supposed to say? She kinda hot." Luke shrugs as if it was no big deal

I sigh. "This girl is different."

"Cal, you don't even know her how can you say that? Like you said before, you only in it for the sex." Michael decides to input, not making this any better.

"Yeah and you best believe I'm getting some of that. When I put my mind to something, I always get it."

*Snow's POV*

"No, Snow. Don't go for somebody like him. He'll screw you over as sure as I'm standing here." Brad says shaking his head at me.

I know you probably thinCalum's I'm talking about Calum, but actually it's Ashton. He seems intelligent and focused. Something I find attractive about a guy. I know we've never talked before, but I'd like to. "Oh come on. It's not like you've ever talked to them before."

"Neither have you!" Brad exclaims. "Calum and his douchy friends are bad news, Snow. Don't get caught up with that. Weather your going for Calum or not."

'DIZZY HURICANE, OH GOD I'M SICK OF SLEEPING ALONE!' My ringtone sounds.
Unknown Number: 'So how about we hang out tomorrow, since I just realized that that's no school?'

I give Brad a funny look, but nevertheless, respond.
Me: 'Who is this?'
Unknown Number: 'Calum. ;)'
Me: 'How'd you get my number?'
Calum: 'I know a guy. What'd say?'
Me: 'Hmm, lemme think. No.'
Calum: 'Give me one good reason why not.'

I don't answer him. A little part of me wanted to say yes, but then again no.

*Calum's POV*

"Damn it." I curse under my breath. This girl was going to be hard to get. "Well that's a no go."

"You've always got until Monday to see her." Ashton gives a cheeky grin, just looking for trouble.

"I need another alternative." I gesture my hands in my direction, wanting them to throw me ideas.

"Well I was listening for a split second in class today, and apparently we are getting partners on a history project. Get to class early on Monday, and ask Mr. Cole if you can be her partner. Give him some kind of mushy story." Michael gives me an idea.

"Okay then it's settled." Monday here we come.

~Monday~
*Snow's POV*

Today I sat in the front away from Calum and his friends. Ashton said hi to me as I entered the room, and I blushed and walked away quickly. Calum tried to talk to me, but I didn't even give him a second glance. "Good morning class." Mr. Cole cheers at the ass crack of dawn.

"So like I told you on Friday, you will be assigned a partner for you history project today." Shit I didn't even know about that. He's already bad news for me. Mr. Cole goes to his desk and reads from a clipboard with a bunch of names.

"Nichole and Ashton." Once again I was blind that Nichole was even in this class. "Luke and Michael." He reads more names off, and talks about how he shouldn't put Luke and Michael together, but he'd rather no one else fail because of their stupidity . "And lastly, Snow and Calum."

When he's done reading the names, Calum takes a seat next to me, putting on that smirk. "Hey partner." He winks.

"We will only be working on this as partners. Don't think this thing will grow into a friendship, or anything more than that."

Calum puts his hands up in the air defensive. "I'll have you know, I wouldn't want you as my friend even if you were the last girl on Earth. Better yet a, what did you call it? Relationship?" He scoffs.

*Calum's POV*

"So your place or mine?" I ask Snow as we leave the school, catching her before we load the bus.

"Neither. You think I want you to know where I live? I don't even want to be seen going to your place. We'll meet at the library everyday after school, starting tomorrow."

I sigh. "I'm not going to the library. Who do you think I am?"

"A person who doesn't want to fail, that's who." Snow smirks, without another word, she boards the bus.

"So much for my partners trick." I curse at myself.

Hi sorry it took me so long to update this. Eventually it'll get back to new chapters and such. I may not put author notes at the end of the chapters I'm catching up on to make the process go by quicker
