I walked outside, I leaned forwards almost making a bridge with my body, I called out for Blade he didn't come, he started to worry me I called him out again with a little cry and he finally came woddling around from the corner of the house.
"Hey Blade, How's momma's baby boy?" I said, wiping away the tears
Blade looked at me and tilted his head to the right, He woofed, I smiled and picked him up. He couldn't stop licking me, Luke called out for me, I turned around.
"Hey honey, what's up?" I asked, "Not much just wondering how karaoke was" , "I have a hangover, Rory wouldn't sing with me but she would sing with Sookie and I was mostly alone, oh yeah it was dandy" I said, "Okay, Don't have to be rude" Luke said
He walked up to me, Luke put his arms around me, his hands touching my butt, I put my head on his shoulder while Blade licking my tears away. I felt Luke's lips on my forehead, I cried out and dropped to my knees.
"I just don't understand" I said
"About what sweety?" He asked, in a comforting voice.
"I don't understand why she couldn't sing with me and she sang with Sookie, Doesn't she love me anymore" I explained, with tears running down my cheeks, "Of Course she loves you" Luke said, hugging me tighter, "Then why didn't she sing with me but with her?" I asked, " I don't know sweety" He said
The puppy ran out of my hands and ran off, I stood up and wiped away the tears, I lifted my left arm up and looked at the time, "Oh damn it, We're almost late for Sookie's dinner" I said, "You sure it's a good idea to go?" He asked
I nodded and headed inside, After everyone got ready, We start to walk to Sookie's, While we walk Luke and I held hands and everytime we get closer I squeeze Luke's hand I knew he could feel it he kept looking at me after each squeeze. When we finally arrived I knocked on her door, Luke told me to breathe and don't lose it, I stood up straight, Sookie opened the door and gave us a warm welcome, We entered the house, Rory,Jess and Luke joined Jackson with making dinner. Sookie and I talked about our business the dragonfly Inn.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you Cletus is sick, He won't eat or move, I talked with the Doctor and he said we have to put him down I told them I have to talk to you first, Oh and Michelle is going to call you about stuff , But I don't know when" She said,
"Oh no Cletus, I will come in tomorrow and go see him before it happens and what kind of stuff, do you know?" I asked
"No I don't, sorry" She admitted
After our conversation Jess came in the lounge room and announced dinner is ready, We all sat down at the table with chicken,vegetables,noodles and chips, I thought It was to much but I finished the whole entire meal within the hour, For awhile we spoke about the karaoke, "So that karaoke was something wasn't it girls?" Sookie asked
"Yes it was awesome, best day ever" Rory said, "It was.......It was Okay" I said, while Luke rubbing my leg, "I need to excuse Luke and I" I said
Luke and I went outside, I couldn't stop crying I thought one of them would come out with all the sound I was making.
"I can't do this, Did you hear our daughter It was her best day ever and she hardly hanged out with me, She doesn't need me at all I feel useless" I said and sobbed, "It's okay, She does need you, you are not useless, I need you everyday of my life, I love you, Jess loves you and even Rory loves you" He explained, "No, If she needed me she would have hanged out more with me and tell me she needed me and she wouldn't of sung with Sookie" I said, "Are you jealous of their friendship?" He asked
I thought to myself for awhile, I did think that I was jealous but I convinced myself that I am not jealous of their friendship. "Let's go back inside and finish this night and go to bed?" , "Okay"
Luke and I entered the house and sat down at the table and joined in with the conversation, We were talking about Rory in college and she goes back Friday, I got a bit teary but not about college but the fact she doesn't talk to me anymore, I sobbed a bit louder and everyone looks at me.
"Are you okay honey?" Sookie said
I nodded my head and went back eating desert, I looked up and saw them looking at me but I ignored them and ate the rest of the desert. I sobbed again Luke stood up, He asked Sookie and Rory to company him outside, When they left the house I was worried that If Luke is telling them but I looked at Jackson and we smiled at each other. They came back inside, Sookie hugged me and Rory did aswell that's when I figured out that he did tell them.
"It's okay honey, don't be ashamed of being jealous" Sookie said, "is it jealous mom?" Rory asked, "No, I am not jealous" I said in a comforting voice, "You sure Lorelai?" Sookie asked, "Fine I'm jealous there you happy now?" I asked.
They shook their heads and ate desert after we headed home and went to sleep.
