Keiji the butterfly (A random naruto fanfic) [ON HOLD for now T.T]

Chapter Two: Elisa

I flew around aimlessly, hopelesslu lost, despair taking over my happiness.

I'd never been outside of the zoo and hadn't a clue where to go. Suddenly I spotted something with beautiful blue wings a similar shape to mine and recognised the form to be a butterfly. I flew thankfully over to the butterfly, who I now saw was female, and she looked up and smiled at me.

"Hi!" she said, grinning cheerfully. I smiled back.

"Do you have any idea where I can find the Ninja Butterfly Clan?" I asked.

"You mean the Chojiamaruno clan?" she smiled. "I was heading that way myself. They live in the leaf village somewhere in this country. We're in Kohonagakure at the moment. Which butterfly village did you come from?"

"I came from a zoo, actually."

"Really?" Her eyes widened. "I heard it's awful there. What's it like?"

"It was okay, I guess. Just.. dull. I heard about the Chojiamaruno ninja butterfly clan and decided I just had to find it. To be the strongest ninja of the butterflies, that is my dream!" I grinned lopzidedly.

"Interesting..." she murmured. "I came from a boring Chojea (remember? village) in the Land Of Waves. I got bored so I left and sought after the Chojiamaruno clan."

We flew for a while until my sharp eyes spied something in the distance.

"I think that's the leaf village!" she squeaked in excitement. We flew faster until we reached the entrance. In respect for the human language we called their chojeas villages.

"By the way, my name's Elisa, and yours?" she enquired.

"Keiji," I replied with a grin. With that we entered the village.

Suddenly a butterfly who was about sixteen years of age flew swiftly towards us, eyeing us cautiously.

"And who might you be?" he asked.

"I am Keiji. I come from the Zoo and I wish to join the Chojiamaruno clan," I announced confidently. The butterfly burst out laughing.

"You? A ninja? From the ZOO? Don't make me laugh!" he smirked. I glared at him.

"And who might you be?" he said to Elisa, placing an antenna on her shoulder. It was the same sort of greeting as a human male kissing a human female's hand.

She regarded him with cold eyes as she replied,

"Elisa, from the Land of Waves."
