Being Human

Prologue

Blue eyes that reflected the sky looks up to shimmering reflection above, a pale hand reached out towards it hoping to grasp it tightly, the young female could only stare up at the world above sadly.

Long white hair that reached to above her waist while the fringes of her hair stubbornly stayed near her nose, flow gently with the water that caressed her form, her lips pursed in thought as her hand returned back to her side before it grasps the bundle of her white dress.

She closed her eyes as she breathed in deeply until she opens them again, she began floating her way up to the river with one goal in mind. Her mind swam with many thoughts but the moment she reached to the world above, her vision blurred as something solid hit against her head. Red floated into the river before her eyes closed shut.

Above the surface, a man with dark brown eyes with his black hair covered by a straw hat tumbled bit from the sudden hit that his boat had taken. Confusion could be seen in his eyes as he leaned over his boat to see what he had hit in the river, his eyes widen when he caught sight of blood and a woman floating on the surface of the water.

Instantly his tan hand reached out and grasp her arm, concern was in his eyes as he dragged the white-haired woman out of the river that his small boat was floating in. He put his head near her mouth as he listened her breathe which cause him to sigh in relief before his eyes snapped to her bleeding head.

He quickly wrapped the bandage around the wound to keep her from bleeding out as the male quickly began to paddle the boat back to his village where he could get help for the woman he found in the river.

"Samuel why are you back so early?!" He heard the faint yell from one of his friends and he instantly began to paddle hastily to the sound of their voice. "Help! I found a woman and she's bleeding!" Samuel called out as he listens to his friend began yelling for help towards the other villagers in the village, Samuel gaze shifted to the woman when he slowly docked his boat.

"Don't worry miss, you're safe here." He gently lifted the woman up in bridal style hold, he felt her body was unusual cold but he didn't pay any mind to it as he quickly rushed into the village.

"Samuel! Bring her over here, quickly!" The male instantly rushed over to an elderly woman who ushered the male to set the woman down. The moment he set her down, the elderly woman pushed Samuel out as she turns to the female only to step back in shock when she saw the white haired woman was already sitting up with a curious expression on her face.

"Miss! You shouldn't be up!" The female looked at the elder woman before smiling softly at her. "I'm fine, even if I get hurt. My healing abilities quickly fix me right back up!" She chirped happily as she removes the bloody bandage to reveal that her white hair no longer had blood. The elderly woman was speechless at the fast recovery but before she could speak the female spoke for her first, her sky blue eyes sparkling.

The woman stood up as she held a hand out to the elderly woman in front of her. "My name is Angel! I am nymph from the Anigride river but I guess it's Anigride Nymph depending how others view it but it's a pleasure to meet you!" Angel grin hoping that her introduction was good but the elderly woman only kept staring at the girl in shock before she turned and began calling out for someone which led the female to be completely confused.

A minute later Samuel and buff tanned male enter the room, Angel look at them in confusion at their strange physical appearance but she kept silent as the elderly woman was talking to the older male who Angel took note was the leader while the another male was staring at her intently. "Um... Pardon me." Angel called out as eyes were now on her.

She fidgets under their gaze as she giggled nervously. "Can you tell me where I am?" They didn't answer her until the male suddenly revealed a knife, instantly as he showed the knife he cut his hand causing the familiar red blood to drip to the floor, Angel's eyes widen as she instantly rushes to him.

"Why did you do that?!" She grabs the male's hand and gently places her hand above his hand that was bleeding until a light blue glow could be seen before it faded. Angel stepped back happily to see the male's hand had been fully healed but the moment she opened her mouth. The sound of chains shackling her wrists together causes her to become quickly alarmed at the bounds.

"Hey! What do you think your-"

"My People!" The buff male shouted as he dragged the nymph out by the chain as she stumbled after him. "Today fortunes has heard our prayers and brought us our God!" He called out as a crowd stared intently at the female while the male's booming voice echoed. '

"This woman in front of us! Is our rightful god! She has proven herself by healing my hand that I have cut and in front of the people that were in there with me, she had healed my hand in front of our very eyes." The crowd began to whisper until one lone person cheer followed by many others who began cheering.

She tried to pull the chains off of her wrists that bounded towards the man who ensnared her but it proved fruitless as she looked around in fright. "Samuel, take our god to the temple and make sure she is sealed that she would not run away. Like the last god."

The tanned male nodded his head as he grabbed the chain from the older male's hand before dragging the female away. "Now my people, let us hold a banquet on the joyful day that our god has finally arrived!" The booming voice could be heard clearly among the crowd as Samuel had dragged Angel towards the temple that once belongs to another person.

"Mister! Please let me go home!" Angel pleaded behind him but Samuel kept looking forward, as the sound of music can be heard playing. "I can't stay here! This isn't my home!" The pair stopped in front of a large building while Angel struggles to pull the chain away from him but he was unfazed by her actions.

"Don't worry, this place will be your home. We'll take good care of you." Angel shook head as tears prickled her eyes. "Don't do this!" Samuel didn't listen to her cries as he enters the building, chairs were lined in front of the room as they were facing towards an area that was separated by golden bars that made it look like a prison.

Behind the golden bars what looked to be a skull sitting neatly on throne causing Angel to panicked even more as she struggles to free herself but only for to be found behind the golden bars as it closed shut behind her.

Angel turned around and instantly rushed over as her pale hand grasp the bars that kept her trapped, Samuel stared at her as his dark brown eyes didn't move from her light blue eyes. "Don't worry, people will visit you every day so you won't be lonely," Samuel spoke as he reached a hand out to touch Angel's cheek but she recoiled back in fear causing the male to sigh as he stepped back. "You'll like living here, we will take good care of you." Samuel turned away as he left the nymph alone.

"No... I want... I don't want to stay here... Someone... Please help me." Angel called out softly as she fell to the floor and tightly clutch the bars. "I want to go home now." She whispered as she closed her eyes tightly as she collapsed to her knees sobbing quietly.
